There is a lot of false information in the description of these. As a whole, the five at the center of a square represent the set of seven. From corner to corner, the 5" measurement is diagonal. Four by four squares make up this square. This collection contains a different set of red, blue, green, and yellow, but it is not as pleasing as the picture depicts. The pieces are made of thin, cheap plastic, so don't expect them to last long. I'd say they're okay, but not very generous with their pay. Honestly, I feel like I could have found them at the dollar store for a lot.
Although I expected them to be a bit bigger, I guess I was expecting too much. They also came in a box so they could be stored. If there is no box to store the pieces in, how can you put this together and keep it together for a child? I have not opened the boxes yet, so that impression may change. The pieces seem sturdy enough, but I have not immediately opened them.
There are two sizes available of these standard Tangram Red, blue, green and yellow are all complete (I received them in my package). I'm sure they will last for a very long time. The plastic they're made of is quite sturdy!.
The following colors are available in 7 each. I have a lot of puzzles that require 14 pieces, so it can be a bit strange to put two different colors together. Despite the fact that the pieces are light and cheap, they're all of the right sizes and can be put together quickly.
The 28 pieces I received were not mine. Mathematicians can easily develop a love for math, so I wanted to use this as a way to make my niece more comfortable with it. That's an unnecessary waste of money for 7 pieces. I bought a better set of the same price from a mathematics education company that had the right amount of pieces.
Kids will enjoy playing with this puzzle and thinking toy. I was really surprised at how sharp the edges are.
These things are very appealing to my kid. These sets can be utilized for tracing shapes or for seeing if they can make squares just like his teachers taught him.
The cards were of normal size, so I bought tangram center activity cards that worked well with them. For me, it was helpful to be able to put the pieces back into 4 different colors, one red bag, one blue bag, and so on to keep everything organized.
