Questions & Answers
Hello - Yes, this large diameter rod can guide smaller rockets, but the 1/8 inch rod is better for smaller rockets. The 3/16-inch rod is designed for vehicles that are heavier. The launch lug attached to the small body tube is the main problem with small rockets using 3/16 inch rod. On a small rocket, a 3/16 lug is quite long. This combination not only appears to be overkill, but it can also have a negative impact on performance. br>br>I hope this response has been of assistance. Hello, the length of this 3/16 rod is 35"3/8.
Hi - The diameter of the rod you're buying will determine how long it will last. Simply bring the launch pad with you to the store and try it on before you buy. The 1/4" (largest), 3/16" (medium), and 1/8" (smallest) are the most common sizes.

It appears to be much more durable than the 1/8 I had previously, which is to be expected given its larger size. However, this is much stiffer than simply going up a size. Due to the weather, I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but 1/8 is definitely not a good size for the Dand E engines. While I was waiting for mine to arrive (which took an eternity), I double-checked my order and noticed that the shipping cost was exorbitant. And it was already on its way, so I figured it was too late to change my mind. I went back to check the price, and it was significantly higher than what I had paid before shipping. But it all came out to be about the same in the end. So’it’s free shipping for the next customer you’don’t know 75% is shipping hopefully’it’s free shipping for the next customer you’t know% My package came from an Amazon seller. I'll look into shipping costs and who will deliver the package. Because of my Prime membership, I rarely look at shipping prices. I'm going to check every now and then. It arrived in a box big enough to send me two rockets, and I'm hoping I didn't overpay for it.
It appears to be well-made at first glance, but the insert used to connect the two pieces is too short, causing the assembled rod to bend easily in the middle, making a straight launch difficult.
, EXCELLENT INFORMATION. INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLYING WITH A ROLL PIN. SOMETHING IS WRONG HERE! br>THE ASSEMBLED ROD WILL NOT FIT INTO A NORMAL RANGE BOX, AND THE ROLL-IN ROD WILL NOT FIT INTO A NORMAL RANGE BOX. TAKE DOWN IS DIFFICULT WITH A PIN (I'VE ALREADY BENT ONE ROD THIS WAY)! I PULL THE ROLL THIS TIME- PIN, THEN THREAD BOTH SECTIONS FOR A 6-INCHES LENGTH. SCREW SCREW SCREW SCREW SCREW SCREW SCREW IT NOW WORKS WELL TOGETHER AND SEPARATES EASILY FOR MY RANGE BOX!.
Rod was crooked after he was put together. I tried to straighten it out, but it was still crooked. It was still crooked after I dismantled it and turned it a few times.
He seemed to be in a good mood. Shipment within 24 hours exactly as described.
WAS FLIMSY, DID NOT KEEP CONNECTED, AND WAS A WASTE OF MONEY.
It is required in order to launch larger rockets.
