It's a small esc with a lot of power. It is not waterproof, but some conformal coating can be used to waterproof the circuit boards inside. It runs well on 2s and a 4600kv motor in a clodbuster (two brushless systems), but it eats up the battery quickly; I get about 5 minutes of runtime with that truck, which is geared moderately (16 tooth pinions and JC Renegade tires). Because the esc has no settings for reversing motor direction, if you're running sensorless, you can simply swap any two motor wires. If you're using sensored motors and need to reverse the direction of the motor (for example, the rear of a clodbuster), run the wires esc-escescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescescesc a-, a-, a-, a-, a- b b- c c- a And you'll need to run the sensor wire backwards to get the esc to run the motor the way you want it (backwards orientation). This thing is a tank, as are all Hobbywing ESCs; it works well, is dependable, and is simple to program. It also works great with my Tekno EB410 4WD Buggy! br>br>I've been using Hobbywing ESCs in boats and cars of various sizes and requirements for quite some time. This ESC is used on a clay track by my 10th Scale 4WD track buggy. It has enough juice to run an eight. Sensored motor with a 5T brushless torque. br>br>I can race for an entire heat, and the ESC's temperature is only about 95 degrees! Even with the low-turn motor I'm using, it stays cool and barely breaks a sweet. If you want to make your life easier, you can purchase a program card for $11, which I recommend.
Strong and long-lasting 3s ESC that works with both sensored and non-sensored brushless motors. There are decals, zip ties, and sticky tape included. So that you can connect your motors, you'll need to know how to solder. I haven't had any issues with this ESC, it's very strong and has plenty of power. The wires are 12g and very long, so I recommend cutting them to size. Lipo with a maximum current of 120 amps and a maximum current of 750 amps in three seconds. It's in an Arrma Big Rock with a 4276 2200kv surpass hobby rocket installed. The motor does not overheat, and the esc does not overheat. It's unquestionably worth the money, and it's easily the best ESC under $60. The only drawback is that it isn't water-resistant. It should have been waterproofed by which Hobby wing. So you'll need the electronics waterproofing spray if you want it to be water proof. And you should do it on your own.

I run it on a 110C 3S in an on-road 4wd drift car, and the ESC only gets slightly warm after a few minutes of use, with no cogging. It is a very nice ESC for the money that I don't think anyone can beat. You can program it without a program card, which is nice if you only need to set a battery cut off or change the punch on start. The only complaint I have is that it didn't come with any connectors (no battery or motor connectors), but I had some on hand, so it wasn't a big deal. Other than that, this little ESC will suffice.
I really like this esc. It's great for club racing, and you can still run 3s lipo with it. It has a lot of advanced settings. The only downsides are that it's not waterproof, and programming it without the card is nearly impossible.
So, I'm not sure what to make of the opposition. But I'm not going to take the chance. It makes no mention of water resistance. In two of my bombers, however, I use these. It performs admirably and can withstand a temperature of 100 degrees.
However, if you take this to a track and race hard, it will cut out after jumping and other things, and the only way to get it going again is to flick the esc, and it will run until you hit a jump, at which point it will die. This is my second one, and I tried to give it a chance but it just won't cut it for track conditions. Everything else that requires more shockproofing is great.
