Hello,br> br>Overall, "Adaptors" aren't a good idea because they can cause voltage dropouts or "sag" issues, which cause the ESCs to act strangely. br> br>Even with adaptors, "Deans" or "TRX" plugs aren't ideal for some setups on their own. Gearing topics. KV for the Voltage Topics, as well as basic installation issues, cause issues. However, a strong connection with good plugs and 70C or higher batteries is recommended.
I removed the stock brush motor and replaced it with a good motor. In my granite Mega 4x4 I'm going to put this. I purchased a 57-tonne steel spur gear and a 15-tonne pinion gear.
Yeah
This esc combo is extremely fast and has blown out several transmissions in my Losi and Traxxas rc vehicles.

Not much better than the stock Vileneon system on the Slash VXL. This setup would be ideal for a light-weight, low-geared rolling chassis, but it still overheats like the Vileneon setup, albeit slightly less so, and I've hit thermal cutoff a couple of times (set to the most sensitive setting). I installed this combo in my Monster Slash with the smallest pinion gear possible for the 5mm motor shaft (11t), as well as the additional capacitor pack that came with it, and the ESC temps are still too high. The motor is performing better now that I've added a second fan, but I was hoping for more from this combination. I'm new to the hobby and this is only my third car, so maybe I'm just bashing it too hard, but I don't think the ESC should be getting this hot. Even a larger fan would have helped; I'm not sure why they used a small 25mm fan when a 30mm fan would have fit just as well.
I have a pinion that is 18t 32p and a spur that is 54t 32p. This pairing has exceeded my expectations by a long shot. Extremely responsive, with good low-speed performance and excellent high-speed performance. I would not hesitate to place another order. Programming is simple with my hobbywing card (sold separately), and the ability to go up to 3s lipos is incredible. This was an excellent purchase. The only stumbling block I encountered was with shipping. I really wish Amazon offered UPS or FedEx delivery in addition to regular mail.
WOW! I'm currently running it on a 3S/60C Lipo with 15/54 gears, and it's a lot faster than the 2 pole VXL I was using before. I haven't yet programmed it with the program card, but it's already fantastic! So far, there have been no heat issues (I'm using a motor heat sink with a cooling fan) and I've run it hard on straight speed on a 62-degree day. LOVE. THIS. COMBO.
It fit perfectly in my Slash 4x4 and gave it so much more power that it now travels at least 75 miles per hour. What a fantastic enhancement!.
The ideal motor for Traxxas Slayer electric conversion. br>br>On a stock Traxxas Slayer with a 14T pinion and 36T spur, I'm getting insane 65 mph runs. On 3S, my temperatures haven't risen above 70°F despite continuous, high-intensity use. Granted, I've only run it when it's around 50 degrees outside, but it's a powerful motor with plenty more to give. br>br>When handling this item, the quality speaks for itself. The sturdy construction, clean finishes, and crisp sounds give me confidence that this set will last a long time. br>br>Operation is very smooth, with a predictable torque curve. Despite its loudness, the motor is a 4000 kV monster that can handle anything you throw at it.
I give the esc 5 out of 5 stars, and the motor is also a 5 out of 5 because it is extremely powerful but also very smooth at low speeds. I believe it is normal for each fan to rev up at times. The enclosed pinion gear was the source of my issue. It's a metal that's incredibly brittle. It would have received 5 stars if they hadn't included one. The stickers, on the other hand, were fantastic!.
It was simple to put together, and the design is durable. The pinion gear that was provided was not installed. I decided to start with a smaller one, which was a good decision because that thing screams. At the very least, after one bash session, I would strongly recommend it. The jury is still out on its dependability, but it appears to be well-made. Happy Customer!.
In comparison to the sensored setup, I like how much less expensive this is. This was ideal for me because I don't race. With a program card, you can make some nice adjustments. Bec of 7. The fan isn't too loud. I have two of these setups, one with 4000 kv and the other with 3200 kv. I haven't had it long enough to see if the 16tooth, 56spur 32 pitch motor heats up. br>When I ran the 3200kv motor in the truck, it became warm, but it was still manageable to hold in your hand.
