Yes, it is possible. Because you only have two motor cables, you'll need to program it for a brushed system and make sure your motor cables are properly connected.
Yes, there are instructions included, but I'm not sure if each wire is described. However, it is self-evident. There are two large wires for the battery, three small wires for the RX, and two wires for the on/off switch. The motor wire plugs aren't specific to any particular location. Simply plug all three in, and if it spins in the wrong direction, switch any two of them.
Will it fit? Yes. Will it take 4s? No, I believe these are only rated for 3s and 2wd.

The new sidewinder esc has performed admirably so far. It was for my son's mini e revo that I purchased it. With a little tinkering and a switch to the opposite side (where the receiver comes stock), it fits perfectly. There are no connectors or a fan included. However, if you examine the image and read the description, you'll notice that this is exactly what it depicts. I prefer soldering my connectors, and I already own fans and a programmer. So, for a great price, this was the ideal combination; shipping was prompt, and it arrived in its original packaging. This product and seller come highly recommended by me.
This is the second time I've participated in an ESC organized by Castle Creations. In terms of the ESC itself, I have no complaints - It works perfectly with the default settings and is truly plug-and-play. and-play. Alternatively, you can fine-tune each and every parameter yourself. br>My only gripe is that the manual states that motor connectors are included, but they aren't. This is not clarified in any way in the product description. br>Just keep in mind that you'll need to buy Castle bullet connectors at the very least.
It's set to a brushless motor by default. I'll need to upgrade my motor, but it worked perfectly after I programmed it. If you use a brushed motor, it will not beep because it is set to a brushless motor. You must program it by watching the light flashes as they work. When you reach the motor type option, it will begin to beep. The control over the low end is fantastic!.
For the money, this is a fantastic ESC that works perfectly in my AX10 crawler. There are a couple of things to keep in mind when using this device.
1. You'll need to get battery connectors that are compatible with your RC. (Dean's connectors were used)br>2. To connect your motor to this ESC, you'll need to either solder wires or buy bullet connectors. The ESC does not come with wire or bullets.
3. To make this work, you don't need the Castle Link software package. However, it's well worth the $25. To configure the ESC, dial (00). I'm the owner of a non-profit organization that's been around for a long time. The software made the changes I needed to the ESC a breeze, thanks to the lithium battery and brushed motor. You're done with just a few clicks. br>br>There are so many options in the programming of this thing that it's a lot of fun to experiment with different settings and see how the truck reacts. I would strongly suggest it.
Overheating all of the time. Even when I’m driving at 50% speed. Avoid a headache by purchasing something else.
Works great on my HP e-firestorm; I'm not sure how (waterproof) it is, but it's plenty for me, and I'm surprised at how much more responsive it is than the cheap generic copy I had in the car. I would definitely recommend Castle; it didn't let me down.
I bought a SW4 and it broke down after a few crawls, so I bought a SW3 and it won't turn on. I did a lot of back yard testing on my course and everything worked out fine, so I'm not sure what's up with these ESCs.
This is a high-quality, dependable esc with plenty of features at a reasonable price. It's my go-to esc for 1/10 scale sensorless brushless, 2s or 3s lipo applications.
