That is not the case. They're made of a thin, flimsy paper. The colors in this set are vibrant, and the magnets are strong.
Because it was a gift, I don't recall. They aren't all included in the set, in my opinion.
Over the course of a year, I purchased this as a gift and did not photograph the characters. Because it's magnetic and travels well, the little girl I bought it for adored it, as did her mother. Because it is based on a book, the characters are dressed similarly to those in the book.
I'm not sure because the milk carton toy was not purchased by me. Since it's based on the book The Hungry Caterpillar, I'm assuming they are.

This is a really sweet idea! We adore Eric Carle, and all of the illustrations bring back fond memories for me, as his books were among my favorites as a child. The cookies are as colorful and lovely as the books! To be honest, I didn't read the entire description because I assumed the scenes would be equally captivating! I understand that the scenes are held in place by magnets, so it isn't absolutely necessary, but I would have preferred if they were magnetic as well! The magnets are packaged on a sheet, which you remove; I removed all of the magnets and then used the remaining piece to cut a thin border around them. The result wasn't quite uniform (though it did the job), so if the manufacturers aren't going to make the scenes magnetic, it would be nice if they made a perforated border that could serve this purpose. Because the scenes and magnets are fairly thin, I'd be concerned about leaving my 2-year-old alone with it for fear of her tearing them apart (I know it says 3 right on it, but I thought others might be interested to know). The fact that the case can serve as a platform for the scenes and magnets appeals to me. I am the mother of a nearly four-year-old and a recently turned-four-year-old. 2 year old, and it would be so cool if the manufacturers made it so that the tin it comes in doesn't have hinges, but instead can pull apart into two separate platforms for the scenes so that each child can use it on the go! Also, because these magnets are so thin, they're great for the fridge because I don't have to worry about them scratching my stainless steel! br>br>**All of the magnets that came with the set are shown in pictures**.
Here's the thing: there's a major issue! If you're looking at this item, I'm guessing your child is obsessed with at least one Eric Carle book and knows it by heart. So you buy it, open it, punch out all the magnets, and hand it over to him to play with. BROWN BEAR, BROWN BEAR, BROWN BEAR, B He rejoices and crows. RED BIRD! YELLOW DUCK, he says as he locates the red bird Is that a yellow duck? WHAT THE HELL IS A YELLOW DUCK? There isn't a yellow duck, a white dog, or a black sheep to be found. Why? To elicit tears from children? It worked, so you did a good job. However, the quality appears to be satisfactory.
These were purchased as a travel activity for our toddler's upcoming flight. The magnets are lovely, the tin is small, and there are a variety of animals (as well as a few plants) that can be used in a variety of ways. br>While the following items are not a concern for us, I thought potential buyers might be interested in knowing:
- The four scenes are printed on two sheets of laminated paper, one on each side; the scenes are not magnetic and must be placed in the tin for the magnets to adhere.
- The magnets are from a variety of Eric Carle's books, but there isn't a complete set from any one (for example, in Brown Bear, Brown Bear, there are only five animals and the main insects like the Busy Spider, Grouchy Ladybug, Lonely Firefly, and Quiet Cricket, but none of the animals they meet, etc. )br>- The magnets are small (approximately 2"x1") and have a strong magnetic field. 5" to . 5"x. This magnet set is not suitable for younger toddlers (5"), so it may not be the best choice.
Eric Carle is one of my favorite authors and illustrators. These magnets aren't as sturdy as I had hoped and aren't made of wood. Maybe I bought something on the spur of the moment without doing enough research. There are many magnets, but no full character sets for any of the books. As a result, if you were hoping to use these for retelling, you'll be disappointed. Although the pictures (magnets) are authentic reproductions of Mr. Carle's original work, I do not recommend them due to the high price.
For the past four years, I've been an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher. Children under the age of five I was excited to use the magnets to improve vocabulary based on two books I use frequently, Brown Bear and A Very Hungry Caterpillar, because I am a frequent buyer of Amazon children's books and supplements. The magnets themselves were disappointing to look at, as they were blurry and small. Because only some of the objects and animals are included rather than the entire storyline, the magnets are practically useless in terms of teaching. When discussing the Brown Bear book, for example, there are no yellow ducks, black sheep, or other animals to work with. A Very Hungry Caterpillar does not have a chrysalis. I am extremely dissatisfied with these magnets and will, regrettably, never use them again.
My daughter was enthralled by this magnet set. I bought them for her to use on plane trips when she was just under two years old, but they quickly became a favorite, and we decided to keep the white setting that the magnets come in. After that, you can simply throw it away after pushing them out of the setting. I'm glad we kept it because we now use it as a puzzle to reassemble the magnets in the setting. It was a great time! The quality is excellent.
Magnetic stickers had an incorrect border cut and characters were missing. The size of the magnetic stickers is ideal for the hands of children. In addition, the box is lightweight and portable. You must remove the stickers from the magnetic sheet before using them for the first time. However, we discovered that some of the characters aren't quite right. Some of the characters' faces were cut off by the pop-up border, as seen in my photos. The insects' antennae and legs have been cut, as well as a portion of the caterpillar's face. This flaw is extremely irritating, as it makes it difficult for children to distinguish between the characters. Second, the stickers do not include all of the characters from the Brown Bear book, including my son's favorite, the yellow duck. br>br>I was disappointed to discover the incorrect cut issue and missing characters.
