For a size 8-inch woman, the outfit will be quite tight. I'm not a great judge of sizing, but I don't think it'll fit anyone larger than a 5T. My grandson is a size 3T, and the outfit is too big for him. I hope you find this information useful.
It didn't specify a size, but it fits my three-year-old granddaughter and five-year-old grandson, so it's a size 4T-. 6 or 7.
Just pretend it's a working bullhorn.

My three-year-old had been anticipating this for a few days before it arrived. For both him and us, the night ended with more tears than anything else. Others have expressed their dissatisfaction with the dreadfully inadequate hat insert, which is an understatement. It's impossible to shrink the hat; it won't stay put. Although it resembles a resizable ball cap with pins and holes, the pins are smooth cylinders rather than t-shaped pins. So they don't snap into the holes, they're shaped or nubbed like a ball cal. The hat adjustments become loose with even the tiniest movement. Or, in the worst-case scenario, the entire inset is removed. Some kids don't mind because the hat flops around looking cute when the insert is removed. Because my son understands the importance of wearing his bicycle helmet snugly, all helmets and hats must now be snug as well. This hat, in my opinion, ruins the entire experience and is not at all what we would expect from a Melissa. Doug's creation.
This is a brand I usually trust, but it's hard to believe Mel would do something like that. Doug inscribed it with their name. Not bad for a jacket. Everything else, including the hat, is a waste of time. Hat is too small for my three-year-old (although he is large for his age) and would never fit a five-year-old. That's a load of nonsense. It gave me the impression that it was designed to fit into a minuscule shipping box. Purchase a different product.
This is the cutest firefighter outfit I've ever seen! It appears to be identical to the image. It was perfect for my son's Halloween costume. For the record, he is a 3T. He keeps tinkering with the outfit. The quality of the material is excellent. The horn is designed to sound like a fire truck. The hat is a little big, and it kept falling off even with the plastic insert to keep it in place. I used hot glue to secure it inside, but other than that, I have no complaints. On colder days, the jacket is warm enough to wear. The attachment holder for the fire extinguisher is one of my favorites. My son's thighs are grazed by the jacket. He doesn't seem bothered or irritated by any part of the material. I would recommend this outfit to anyone who has a child who is a fan of firefighters!.
According to other reviews, the helmet is non-removable. The fire extinguisher is just plastic with no water holding feature, and I guess it's my fault because I didn't realize the bullhorn required batteries, so I didn't realize the horn was also a bust. The coat is okay, but not up to the standard of another brand I bought for another grandchild six years ago. I would have bought that brand again if it hadn't been for the fact that the item was sent to a child in another state whose name I couldn't remember.
When I told my three-year-old that his costume had arrived, he was ecstatic, and we were both thrilled to see the high-quality jacket, hat, bullhorn, and fire extinguisher included in the package. br>br>The coat is made of a thicker fabric with real reflective tape (a big plus since it'll be his Halloween costume), and it looks like it'll last a long time. The hat is also made of a higher-quality, thicker plastic. The fire extinguisher is a good size and looks realistic, though I wish you could squeeze the handle for the full effect; I haven't had a chance to put batteries in the bullhorn yet, but it is also a good size and appears to be a quality product. br>br>He is a fairly average size three year old boy, and the coat and hat both fit him well with room to grow into them without looking oversized. His only complaint is that the hat is "too heavy," but he's used to a flimsy, plastic hat he got at a party, so that's understandable. br>I don't usually write product reviews, but this one deserves a special mention for being a high-quality item that was exactly what my son needed. That's exactly what I was expecting!.
Melissa and Doug products have always pleased me in the past, but this one was a huge letdown. The outfit is well-made. built and appears to be long-lasting The proportions appear to be correct. The accessories, on the other hand, are woefully inadequate. By pressing a button on the bullhorn, a sound is produced. That's a tall order for a three-year-old. I expected amplification based on the packaging image of a girl speaking into it. Not true. Water can be used to fill the fire extinguisher. All I can figure out is that the bottle must be squeezed in order to release a stream of water. That is impossible for the hands of a three-year-old. Because the screw-on head is not a seal, it leaks when squeezed. The hat can be adjusted to fit your head. The inadequacies of the plastic insert band for adjustments are difficult to explain, but they are yet again a disappointment.
The adjustable insert isn't staying in the right place. This dress-up set is super cute, and I love that the coat is supposed to be machine washable (though I haven't done so yet). My children also enjoy the siren-like megaphone. But the hat irritates me to no end. br>br> The adjustable insert inside the hat can be seen in my photos. In theory, it's great, but it constantly pops out because it's only held in place by four tiny pegs in these tiny holes. It irritates me because it keeps popping out and I have to fix it all of the time. I tried not to use the insert because my kids' heads are so big, but the helmet is just too big without it; I really wish it was attached better.
This was a gift for my two-year-old daughter. I made a Halloween costume for my 5-year-old son, and he loved it. I was pleased because it was one of the few fireman outfits that did not include an ax (after all, why would a toddler require an ax?). ) He's a typical toddler, so it was a little big, but I was able to roll up the sleeves and he was able to wear a coat underneath it for trick or treating. This is of the high quality that Melissa and Doug are known for, and I would highly recommend it for playtime or Halloween!.
