The concept behind this toy is fantastic, but some of the animals chosen for the letters were poorly made. Why not quail instead of queen bee? My child will now believe that the word "bee" begins with the letter "Q. " They used to associate X with ray fish, but now they associate X with a fish. I bought this toy for my daughter to introduce her to animals and their sounds, as well as to help her learn the letters, but I'm disappointed by some of the options. Why not just call it a cow instead of a caterpillar making a squeaky noise? There are a lot of learning opportunities that are squandered.
1- devoted year- old. However, the letters are only spoken after a long (and extremely irritating) song has been played. It resets and plays again if you spin it again during the song, never getting around to saying the letter! If it hadn't been for that, I would have given it five stars. He'll probably be able to enjoy it even if the sound is turned off and he has to say the letters on his own. A nearly perfect toy that was ruined by bad design.
It smelled like plastic that had been burned and melted. We couldn't place the source of the odor. My 9-month-old son was playing with it in his pack-n-play tonight, and I smelled it again. I flipped the toy over, and sure enough, it was SMOKING! It's extremely hazardous!.
I bought this for my six-month-old son, but after receiving it, I realized it was a little advanced for him. Because of my own lack of research, I was unaware that the spinning had to be done manually. Many of the animal "sounds" are simply splashing or other strange noises that animals do not make. Overall, I believe this toy is reasonably priced, but I don't believe it offers anything unique that distinguishes it from other toys we've purchased.
It's ok. The music is grating and. . There's no way I'm not going to pay attention to them. So you have to listen to a song for each spin on each setting. It's not possible to simply spin and hear P - Pig is represented by the letter P in the alphabet. The educational portion starts with a song, and the animals they chose for some of the letters are terrible. What does the letter C stand for when it comes to caterpillars? What does the letter J stand for in the alphabet? For each letter, they used four different kinds of birds. Some of the animal sounds are good, everyday sounds that I teach her, such as a frog going ribbit ribbit. Splashing or bouncing noises, on the other hand, are more common. Most of them say "repeat after me," but not all of them, and some of the noises they want you to repeat are ones I can't even make.
This thing irritates me to no end. The songs and voice are scratchy as nails on a chalkboard, and it doesn't always make the same sounds for all letters (some don't seem to have any). The animals, on the other hand, are a bit of a stretch - The ray fish X is X (? What do a narwhal and an iguana sound like? Both the concept and the execution of this thing have flaws.
My 9-month-old son was referred to physical therapy because he couldn't crawl and only went on all fours for a few seconds. This toy was in the therapist's office, and it encourages babies to be up on all fours while strengthening their upper back muscles. I bought it for my son, who loved it and was crawling in a week. br>br>Of course, I can't attribute all of my son's crawling success to the toy, but I believe it played a role. If you're on the fence about buying this product, keep in mind that it has unanticipated therapeutic benefits for your child if they require it. br>br>I also like that this toy isn't overly sensitive, which means it doesn't go off all of the time. Many of my son's lights are turned on- If you get too close to an and-sounds toy, it will start up. It irritates me to no end. Until the wheel is spun, this toy does not sing, talk, or light up. Overall, this is a fantastic product.
This toy is a big hit with my special-needs kid. We were looking for a replacement for an older model. This new model made me very happy. The addition of the glowing light is a nice touch. This new model is slightly more top heavy and turns over than the previous model, which appears to have a studied base. There's no need to be concerned because my husband enjoys both versions equally.
