Questions & Answers

If there is a choking hazard for children under three, why is there a warning on the label for a photo that shows a baby less than a year old?

It was the same thing I thought! Not only is it a warning, but it also says Children under three years old are not allowed to play with this. This is followed by an image of a child clearly not much older than 3 and says, "Manufacturer recommends age 18 and older." The term "3yrs". There are so many questions!

Does it come in a variety of colors?

According to the illustration, 8 colors are shown. There is too much brevity in this string.

What are the pvc & BPA free qualities of this ?

Due to the fact that it's an American firm, I assume so

It is genuine, or is it a fake?

It's a very nice toy, yes. It is never quiet when I watch my grandson, who is 10 months old. It didn't take long for him to learn how to make noise - or

There is a need for a drummer
5/5

For my son who is 8 months old, I bought this. Despite knowing that this product is meant for use by children 18 months and older, I continued to use it as I was anxious to learn whether my firstborn would be That was not the case. I recommend this product for its sound quality and good price. Strings that connect the mallets are of a decent length for children to allow for less tangling and to prevent the mallets from getting lost, but if you are an adult trying to express yourself musically, the length could be hindering. When my child is playing with the mallet, he usually keeps it in his mouth, but every once in a while he accidentally drops it on the xylophone, which makes it sound. While my fingers have learned "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and a song by Black Sabbath called Iron Man.

Musicians of the future will love this
5/5

In addition, Musicians of all ages will love this! My 1 year old loves it after he practices playing it a little bit, since the stick has a string attached to it (safety feature). It's a little tricky at first to play because the stick has a string attached to it (safety feature). Playing each plate independently is on her list of things to learn.

It is a total hit with my 13-month-old daughter since I cut the cord
5/5

Having been obsessed with anything and everything remotely musical since she was a little baby (5 months old), she continues to be so today. The first time I showed her how to play it, she was a bit confused, but now she plays it on a daily basis. There does not seem to be any tuning issues with any of the keys. However, regardless of whether they were a big deal or not, at such a young age, this would not surprise me. We'll be ready soon. I have my daughter's Xylophone for over a year now, it has held up very well on her rough hands. Her computer works as well as it looks and feels like brand new even after dragging, dropping, and pounding it to death. As soon as I first opened it, my daughter was unable to hit the keys with the mallet due to the cord. If I guided the mallet for her, then she would be able to hit the keys. My solution was to use a pair of scissors to cut the cord. People seem to be complaining for no apparent reason. If the cord were any longer, it would be a safety hazard! As for the mallet, we don't leave the house with it, so I'm not worried about it getting lost. I just cut the cord, and loosen it. All in all, I strongly recommend it. A baby or toddler should have this item in his or her possession.

Making them today is not the same as it used to be My former phone, which I had in the 80s, has a more durable and smoother body design with fewer sharp edges
3/5

The wheels have been silenced in this version as opposed to the old ones which made noise when rolling! A very sad situation. And also, too! There is a flat key(Re in the scale) in the dark blue. Although not important to a general audience, it is noticeably different, and this is a sign of poor -)
I know my daughter will enjoy this, but I am not happy about it.

You'd be better off with another brand this xylophone has a sour sound
3/5

Our opinion regarding this Xylophone is that we don't like it very much. A Fisher-Price scale was selected by me A cord attached to the mallet made it the best choice among many other options, as I thought it would serve the dual purpose of being a tether to keep it from getting lost, as well as allowing my son to use it as a walking aid The toy that goes with you. Because the cord is so short, not only is it not practical for him to walk with it, but he also has trouble maneuvering the mallet to hit the keys (is that the term for metal parts?) The other thing I dislike about this xylophone is that it muffles the sound either because it's made of a metal or it's constructed. Even if you hit the keys correctly, it only sounds terrible. You have to make such a certain movement to even get a note out. I was hoping for better sound quality, but I don't know what I expected.

Off the top of my head This is a wonderful toy that I and my eight-year-old daughter both enjoy
3/5

My daughter is 5 months old (and doesn't yet know how to play music, but loves carrying the instrument around and chewing on the mallet). There are two stars deducted for the following reasons There are two problems with this - 1) the string that connects the mallot to the xylophone is super short, and 2) it's not tuned properly. We are driving ourselves crazy because of that one note! We ordered ours from Amazon and tried it out in-store to make sure it was ok but we don't think we will be able to return it When we opened it, we realized it had been taken out of the package. Oh my gosh. If I can upload a video from my phone, I will do so as soon as I figure it out).

The baby and the adults will enjoy playing with this toy
5/5

We have been playing with this for more than a week now and it has been a huge hit with our 10 month old percussionist. The tether is short so she can easily strangle herself or hit other things with it safely. You'll be able to reach all the keys with this long stick.

It's a nice sound and not annoying, but it's out of tune a bit. Although, I am not noticing it, my husband seems to be. This is not a concern for us at all simply because she won't play any songs on it until quite some time from now. I was playing "Separate Ways" on it while my husband played with it because I think it's a great toy to show the baby how to use.

Compared to the original, this is not as good
3/5

As toys go, this is okay. The original Fisher Price had been in our family for years I bought a Xylophone for our grandson and he loved it, so we decided to buy this for him. Original versions had a long pull string, which you pulled to make music, as well as little hammers on the bottom. Moreover, the string on this one is too short and not durable enough to be useful, and since the stick that one is supposed to play the xylophone with is attached to the string, it makes it difficult to play. By cutting the stick off, I was able to relieve the pain. As it is, though, the stick is so long that if your baby has it in his mouth and falls forward, he is at risk of choking. If it were shorter, this would be less of an issue. With the xylophone we took the long stick away and gave him something shorter. Although this is fun, it is a little weak compared to the original, and I would have liked to hear music when you pushed it around.
