My 16-month-old has recently shown an interest in coloring so I bought these for her. It's the cutest thing ever! Books like these are excellent for younger kids who will put anything in their mouths for curiosity reasons. This can result in furniture or walls being stained. In a nutshell The pros are Our third set already! We really love the fact that the set is reusable. Playing with it makes my toddler happy, and seeing the colors come through makes him happy too! As soon as you purchase it, it works like a charm. It's the three pack that we love most. To ensure that there is a sense of surprise, we use one at a time. Our family uses it when eating out, and besides the phone it's one of the few things that keep her seated and calm. The girl has more than one page to color and just keeps doing so. Our family has also used it on long car trips and it worked wonderfully! When the water inside the pen runs out, the pen fills back up as easily as ever. There is a very short window of interest in these, however (thus 4 stars). They are an amazing idea, but have a very limited window of usefulness. Prior to our family vacation, I was trying to find new things to invest in so my kids were entertained on the plane. While browsing the internet, I came across this water pad and remembered that my other friends had purchased them for their kids, too. My momma was thrilled that she followed through, and boy, did she enjoy it! Having a 2 yr old who is far more active than my first child, he is a lot more energetic. During the 6 hr plane ride (granted, she did sleep in between), during the trip, and on the way home, 5 year old was using the pads. problem is that the pad probably won't last for years because after a while, the water does eat away at the cardboard after heavy use, but for the price, it will be with them for a very long time. If your kiddo is one that is on the lookout for a new toy or something to keep them occupied, check this out! Don't let it slip away from you.

Definitely provide entertainment in the car for my daughter as she really likes them. Despite the thick pages, they almost feel like they need reinforced plastic around the picture and on the back side of the pictures as they get a little soggy with moisture. The longer they are used, the more likely they are to become ruined. Having opened just one of the coloring brushes, I have noticed that it is definitely leaky. If you hold the page up after it's been submerged in water, water will run down the page. This is another reason that the outside and back of the previous pages need Initially I thought it might just be my daughter brushing too hard or something, but I tried and I too found it leaked quite a bit. While on the way to the car I had to stop for an hour and I took my "color brush" out of the plastic bag I put it in. When we returned to our vehicle I took everything out of the bag and it was full of water. Approximately one-half of the water contained in the color brush bag had leaked out.
