I haven't decided yet. It was given to me as a present. The paint cups, on the other hand, fit perfectly in the tray that comes with the Melissa and Doug easel.
The paint is gouache and washable, as far as I recall. I didn't want to purchase anything that couldn't be cleaned quickly. Acrylic is a non-removable material that cannot be washed. I hope this has been of assistance.
Yes, they are, and the paint can be washed off.
We thought it was, but my five-year-old has had no luck with the board or the markers, and no one at the company has been able to assist us with these issues.

This was a Christmas present for our daughter, along with a new art easel. I had seen some of these accessories separately in a store and decided to buy them all together because the overall value was better. When it arrived, the box was larger than I had anticipated, heavy and substantial, and packaged in a giftable manner. The paint pots are by far the most useful item in the box! The lids lock in place, and the funnel top makes it simple to use and clean up excess paint. The best part is that they are difficult to spill out of! For my toddler's watercolor book, I used the paint pots as water containers, and it was knocked over without spilling a drop! the paint: br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br Colors that pop. Paint is what it is. The disadvantage is that when I was looking for individual items, I chose a washable crayola set. When we first got these, I was thinking about it because it didn't explicitly say washable, but I was thinking to myself, "There's no way M can wash these. " Isn't it true that D would sell a young child's paint set if it wasn't washable? However, it leaves a mark. I haven't tried washing out clothing yet, but I'm sure it will come up at some point. For painting, my six-year-old puts on an oversized tee. While she was doing that, the two-year-old grabbed a paintbrush from the pot, and after cleaning up, he had a purple/blue smear stain on his leg for the next day, and the six-year-old had green fingers. If that's the case with skin, I don't see how clothing would fare any better. br>br>This heavy-duty paper roll is fantastic. The downside is that I didn't realize there are different sizes of children's easels, and our new HAPE easel doesn't fit (it's an inch too big): We'll keep it, but it won't fit in the hanger above the easel, so it'll be a little clumsier. I should have double-checked the dimensions. br>One whiteboard marker is fine, but two or three colors would have been nice. br>We've used the eraser on both sides and will see how it holds up over time; it appears to be fine. br>chalk is great and writes with a fine point. Brushes work well with the coloration. br> br>br>In conclusion, if I knew better and had to do it all over again, I would buy separately. We're going to get some crayola paint anyhow. Our easel did come with paint pots, but only three of them, and this M was one of them. D style is worth having and isn't included in this set, so I'd get it and stick with the expo markers we already have.
I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing, but I assumed that a children's product would be washable! My child and I are now both stained blue and green. I would NOT RECOMMEND the paints for painting with children, which is what this product is supposed to be used for!.
My three children, a four-year-old autistic boy, an eight-year-old autistic boy, and a ten-year-old autistic boy, all use it on a regular basis, and it has proven to be extremely durable. M's art suite as a whole is incredible.
We adore Melissa and Doug products, so this is a fantastic set. The only flaw was that I didn't realize the paper easel roll wasn't the right size for the Melissa and Doug easel we bought. I had no idea that easel rolls came in various sizes. I wish it had asked for a size so we could have ordered the proper size.
I bought the Melissa and Doug easel with the intention of purchasing the paints and brushes as well. The present was intended for me, who was 18 months old at the time. grandson who is over the age of ten When he painted, it got a little messy, and we figured we could just wash the paint off his hands. The paint didn't come off that night, and it stayed on his hands and arms for another two days. I would not recommend purchasing the paints from Melissa and Doug.
This was purchased for the birthday of my granddaughter. It was a hit with her. Her mother, I believe, prefers it. LOL, and her younger brother was overjoyed at the prospect of being able to assist his younger sister in painting and drawing. I didn't get an easel because I didn't have enough money. My daughter, however, already had one, so we rolled the paper out onto the dining room table before she brought it out, which worked perfectly.
Only got the pain cups and paint, but no eraser, dry erase markers, or pain brushes! So it's not worth the $30. I don't want to buy it again, and it's now gathering dust in the corner because I don't have the necessary accessories. So mad.
It's not a major issue. But what about the chalk? That stuff is disgusting! It's very dusty and breaks. . . almost crumbles because it's so dry. I didn't think the paint was great either, but my toddler didn't complain and had a good time, so it was a good product overall.
