I love the smell. Getting these for my nephew in kindergarten who is six years old was a great idea. School has been a challenge to say the least when it comes to keeping him interested. In the end, all he wants to do is talk to his friends (play). As a comparison to Mr Sketch scented markers, these feel very bad to the nose. I have children in 1st and 2nd grades, and they both say there is a strong smell of pine in the fresh air one, and in the lemon one, it has a sharp taste of lemon. Although they smell synthetic, they are more headache-causing Among other brands, it has a more pleasing scent than others. Although they smell a bit bad, my kids do generally like some of the toys.

For my 11 year old daughter's Easter basket, I purchased these. My gift arrived in less than 24 hours with Amazon Prime. I reviewed all the markers before giving them to my friend. The majority of the Markers had excellent smells with the exception of two or three. What I am trying to convey is in my photos. These work great and are great quality. My son has used them 3 or 4 times and they are great.
