This playset was a big hit with the kids. In the standard-sized containers, the dough was fresh and soft. There were a lot of different pieces to choose from. The only drawback was that pushing the frosting tube into place for some of the items was difficult even for me. To get a good amount of frosting out for the cupcakes, you must use a specific amount and keep reinserting it. I was stumped as to how to remove the molded pieces in a neat and tidy manner. I was hoping for more silicone-like molds to help push it out, but that didn't work out. Because it's all plastic, even though we had a great time making cookies and cupcakes, getting them to look as cute as we wanted was a little more difficult than we anticipated.
It was a lot of fun for the toddler, and it kept her busy for a long time for only $15. As a result, it's well worth the money. br>br>However, the molds are very inexpensive. Play doh gets stuck inside the "frosting" squeezer tool; I wish this set included some long, thin tools for dislodging and cleaning the utensils. It would also be nice if it included more cool squeeze toys. I'm not sure what I expected for the price, but I assumed it would be cooler molds based on the photos on the box of the creations. It's not just playdough that's been sculpted by professionals to look incredible. I have no idea what was going through my head! Also, the play doh it comes with is small, about half the size of the regular tubs you can get for 50 cents at Walmart. br>br>Overall, this is a great way to keep a toddler occupied for a long time, so it's definitely worth it, but don't expect to make bakery creations that look like the ones advertised on the box! br>br>Recent changes: br>br> After having this for a few months, I think it would be more fun for parents to play with the kids if the little tools were a little cooler. As a result, I lowered the rating to three stars because I dread the day when my toddler brings it up. It's just that the tools aren't enjoyable.
Having a great time! My 5-year-old and I had a lot of fun making cupcakes. There are so many options to choose from. This is an awesome and entertaining set! I would strongly suggest it.
Despite the fact that I despise Playdough, I have to give this 5 stars. There is no regard for the business. But as a mother, it's a different story. A mother's worst nightmare is playing with playdough. LOL, but after my daughter begged and begged for a playdough kit, I gave it to her for her birthday. I gave it to her a week ago, and she hasn't stopped playing with it since then. Except for the fact that we're out of playdough at the moment. br>So, for the price and what you get, it's a no-brainer. This gift has been a big hit with her.
I bought it on one of two Prime days in 2019 for myself to keep at home so my granddaughter could play with it. She is so enamored with it that she has requested additional visits to our house from her mother so that she can play with it again and again. I'm glad I went ahead and bought it.
We have a lot of fun with this with our two-year-old! It was on sale when we bought it, and it was well worth the money. There was a lot of Play-Doh in the box. As well, doh. This set has brought us a great deal of joy as a family. Definitely pick it up!.
My 4-year-old granddaughter enjoys using the molds to decorate cookies and cupcakes. On the negative side, she finds icing difficult (though she perseveres), the cookie display piece breaks, and the top of the cupcake mold breaks off. Despite this, she continues to enjoy it.
