The materials are of excellent quality, and all of the accessories are both functional and adorable. But what you're really paying for with Klutz is the incredible, well-made products. Instructions are illustrated. They even show you how to roll the correct size clay ball for each piece, making it incredibly simple to create exactly what you see on the package. If you purchase additional black, white, tan, brown, and light pink Sculpey ("bakeable") clay as a gift, they will be able to make a TON of animals. The clay is generous, but my child wants to make a ton of animals to give to their dolls and friends as pets. What you see in my photo is only a fraction of what my children have created, and they still have 1/2 - There's still a third of their clay!.
Children aged ten. The majority of Klutz kits are my favorites - This would be a wonderful birthday present for an 8-year-old girl. A ten-year-old boy who enjoys dogs.
There was enough clay in the box to make 15 animals, according to the box. My daughters created a total of 20 animals, as well as a dog bed and a carrot. If you're looking for a unique way to.
The concept is fantastic, but the van and other accessories are difficult to put together. They had fun making a few animals, but the van soon became a source of frustration. It's held together by cardboard "locks" that fall out if they're not perfectly positioned. If the recipient isn't a skilled craftsperson, don't recommend it as a gift.
Because other reviews complained about the lack of clay, I included a photo of the entire set of clay and accessories compared to a quarter.
So far, my daughter has made Guinea pigs and a puppy out of a hot dog. I like that this clay needs to be BAKED before it hardens, and she's had a lot of fun with it. I 100% would buy another set if they had a variety or would gift one if they had a variety of different sets if they had a variety of different sets The book includes step-by-step instructions for making each animal, and she was able to make them all by herself (with the exception of the baking). The pet van will almost certainly require the assistance of an adult, but for the most part, children should be able to follow the instructions for the clay.
Please increase the size of the clay packets in the Klutz brand. It's so frustrating when your child is having a good time. . . . After that, there isn't enough clay to make all of the animals. She also avoided using the word "tons. " Alternatively, please, Klutz, provide a replacement clay set- I'd be happy to buy it. br>So, if you can keep a close eye on your child's clay portions, buy it; otherwise, it may cause heartache, as it did in our house. br>It's super cute, but it requires patience and time, so it's best for a child who enjoys crafts.
We had a great time building the car and creating the adorable clay animals. With simple step-by-step instructions, the book makes it very simple to achieve a good result. instructions for each step There is enough clay to make all of the animals shown, but when we were finished, we had to go to the craft store to get more!.
