This is what we used for our plant. We bought two of them and two HDMI 42" TVs, and they work perfectly. Smart TVs were less expensive and had a larger screen than monitors. All that is required is a Smart TV with HDMI input. You are not required to have access to the internet or to watch television.
It doesn't matter as long as the system is the same.

The second half of the cameras were turned off two days later. I attempted to contact Zosi tech support, but they did not respond to my emails. I'm out of luck because I've already passed Amazon's return deadline.
The firmware is difficult to use. The navigation of the playback is extremely difficult. When used in a multi-camera setup, most DVR systems In camera mode, you can go to single camera mode by clicking on a specific camera, but not in this software. To do this, you have to go through three menus (and then do it again to return to multi camera mode). 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br The appearance of a fisheye lens on camera displays is annoying. This is the only DVR system I've ever had that does so. It's not a feature I'd have chosen; in fact, it's nearly nauseating. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. One of the eight cameras was dead on arrival. When I contacted Amazon, they told me to "just use the 7. " That didn't sit well with the audience. They provided me with a phone number for ZOSI customer service. When I called, they didn't answer and instead told me to "leave your name, email, and phone number and we'll call you back. " They didn't do it. When I called Amazon again, they said they would give me a credit toward my next purchase if I bought a replacement camera. So I went out and bought a new one. After that, I went out and bought something else. There has been no credit given. 4. br>br> The screws for adjusting the camera's aiming are a disaster. When installing under an eave, it's especially difficult to adjust the camera's positioning, so look for a camera with a "ball" type positioning mechanism. My recommendation: br>br> You will be much happier if you pay a little more.
We've been waiting for four months. Doris has promised that the camera will be sent as soon as a favorable review is received. Since January 2020, I have been unable to connect my cameras to the internet. I have attempted to contact customer service via chat, email, and phone, as well as through Amazon, for several days. No response so they can't be accessed remotely finally got customer support they haven't been able to get this system to connect to our wifi in 6 months has been an awful experiencebr>july 2020 we finely got the right support person DORRIS and found a piece of equipment that didn't work properly so we sent it back and they sent a new one THEN it was easy to set up and use connects to our cell phones to access exactly what we wanted DORRIS WAS GREAT AT HE.
This system is so contradictory to itself, with too many things that don't apply and too many that do, it's ridiculous. I would not recommend this unit to anyone because it's just impossible to figure out dumb and it comes with no instructions, and when I look online for the instructions, they don't explain anything that I'm having an issue with.
It was extremely simple to set up, and I was able to monitor everything from my phone. We tested both Android and Apple to see which would perform better, and we discovered that while IOS performs better, both are functional. I'd like to express my gratitude to the customer service team for their prompt response when we encountered an issue due to user error. Overall, we are very pleased with our purchase and would recommend it to friends and family!.
It's a good system, but the cameras can't be adjusted the way you want them to be. They can only be hung with their backs to the wall and facing straight out. You can only move them up and down; you can't move them left or right.
The cameras themselves are excellent, but the hardware and software are a farce. Very old, difficult to use, and frequently loses picture, necessitating multiple hard resets per day, as well as very cheap hardware. This is a setup I strongly advise against. Remove yourself from the situation.
But then I forgot my password, and I was worried about getting in touch with tech support, especially since I could only find an email address for them and no phone number. They were, however, extremely responsive and helpful. I've had other systems with which I've had a lot of trouble getting technical support. However, Zosi tech responded quickly via email and offered a few options. I am extremely pleased with this product and would buy it again and recommend it to others.
