It's the best $250 I've ever spent, and it's ridiculously simple to set up and use, including the smartphone app. br>It's a razor-sharp photograph. br>I set up my system with a dedicated power supply and rg58 siamesed cables that were custom lengths. None of the wires or power adapters that came with it were used. The DVR and cameras were the only things that were used. br>In the basement, locate the DVR and power supply, as well as all cables. br>Got a long HDMI cable and a long USB cable so I can monitor and control everything from the comfort of my bed. br>Everything is in excellent working order!.

First and foremost, setup was not difficult; if you are handy, installation and programming will be a breeze. Taking advantage of current collaborations Axial cables and a power supply that has been stabilized One thing I like about it is that it comes with everything you need, so you can set it up right away without having to go to the store to get some cables or cords. br>* Illustrations: The images on the system are extremely clear and impressive. They switch to black and white in low-light situations, indicating that the cameras are light-sensitive. br>* Take a look at: These cameras are of exceptional quality, with a much larger field of view than my previous cameras. br>I've only had this system for a few weeks and have yet to connect all of the cameras (though I have tested them). I'll return in a year to give an update on the product once I've had a chance to test its durability, but for now, I'm very happy with it.

*Update 10/18/2019br>I've reduced my rating from 5 to 3 stars after more than a year for the following reasons:
- The first camera was installed in June 2019, and it displayed nothing but the Annke logo and the unit's transmission speed. I rebooted the system, double-checked the connections, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and finally contacted Annke, who has yet to respond to my emails for help, despite my repeated requests, and who then filed a warranty claim after more cameras failed.
- Annke tech support and/or warranty department is useless; they did not respond to my warranty replacement inquiries and instead directed me to the internet for troubleshooting. When it comes to leaving a positive Amazon review or entering to win one of their products, they can email me multiple times!
- I discovered that, contrary to what I had assumed, all six of the eight cameras that had failed were still operational after testing them in the two remaining operational camera power supply pigtails; one was also a bad or defective BNC cable, but the rest were due to the power supplies, of which there are two with four pigtails each, not being powerful enough to support four cameras sending data back continuously. br>As a result, only one pigtail connector on each of the two power supplies with four pigtails remains operational, and the remaining two cameras frequently exhibit the same random problems that the previous six did before going completely dark.
- My rating was reduced not due to the failure of the power supplies, but due to the company's failure to respond! Come on Annke, this was a $250 system, so it wasn't the most expensive, but you should still stand behind your products! A better power supply, consisting of two additional power supplies that each only pull two cameras, would have cost about $24 more on the consumer end, and it would have been less expensive for you! br>br>So, after a year of using this system, I've decided to give it a 3 rating. I still like and recommend this system, but do yourself a favor and invest in either a stronger power supply or buy two at the outset. 4 more to keep this from happening! br>This is still a good system for the price. br>br>I hope this information is useful! br>br>*Update 10/16/18br>Cameras have been up for a few months and so far everything has gone well. Granted, 1 needs to be repositioned because the glare makes it nearly useless when the sun sets, and 2 seem to have condensation build up in them at random, causing fog; I'm guessing this is due to being mounted near tin surfaces and the heat emitted from that surface. Build enclosures for each to see if this helps to solve the problem. They also held up well without enclosures during both Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael. br>br>Alarms have been set, but it picks up even more than I'd like, so I'll have to keep fiddling with these settings until the emails become bearable. br>br>They're doing what I need them to do, which is to record any threats to the property and to record the drive way so I can take my neighbors to court if they keep tearing it up. For a short time, the cameras deterred them, but now they're back to their old tricks, and at least it's no longer my word against theirs! br>br>It's also worth noting that this system was much easier for me to set up than the one my family bought from Sam's Club. They do, however, require a simpler, faster method of resetting the admin password; granted, I discovered a workaround, but it is still inconvenient. ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** All of the cameras were clear and functional, and the instructions, while brief, were sufficient to grasp the gist of the situation. Everything was included, setup was quick, and the system was quiet. I'm not sure how they'll fare when exposed to the elements, but so far they've held up well.

In fact, it's been 5 years since I've done a Product Review. But I felt compelled to share my experiences with Annke Tech Support because their level of assistance, patience, and flexibility were nothing short of extraordinary. After receiving my initial email, they evaluated my request and responded within 13 hours (including time zone differences), stating that Tech Support would contact me within 24 hours, which they did in two hours. Simply outstanding. They were extremely helpful in troubleshooting my issue after that, and we exchanged a few emails back and forth. When THEY realized that email would not solve the problem, we convened a Remote Desktop Sharing session to quickly resolve the problem. We lost connection at one point, and Tech Support even called me to double-check that we were still on track. I'm all set and happy with their product after about 30 minutes; as I'm sure many of you have experienced poor customer service at some point in your lives, you can rest assured that this company cares about their product and customers. If a glowing review of their customer service isn't enough to persuade you to purchase, Please allow me to review their product. br>br>Summary Customer Service is Unrivaled. Excellent value for money. The video is of excellent quality. It's a simple process to set up. Some updated/improved instructions would be helpful, but the situation is manageable as it is. The user interface could be improved to improve the overall experience, but it's fine. br>br>I spent some time reading product descriptions and reviews for Home Video Surveillance and couldn't find anything that matched the price or had as many positive reviews. Sure, there are a few that raise an eyebrow. Some of the reviews have raised questions, but nothing that is truly alarming. In general, some people have unrealistic expectations for Nightvision. This device outperforms its cost. Sure, there are $1,000 systems that can outperform this one, but that's not what you're getting. This system is an excellent compromise between purchasing one or two over-the-counter medications. Nest or Ring cameras that are merely selling their brand name and purchasing a 'high-end' product are not worth the money. end' surveillance system, which is most likely overkill for your household. If you truly require such a system, you should probably consider relocating to a more suitable location. You will receive enough equipment (8 cameras, a DVR, and remote access) to meet almost everyone's surveillance requirements. br>br>The quick setup guide was simple and straightforward. I was able to connect it to my smartphone without difficulty, which was very convenient. The SADP Tool was a little more difficult to install on my networked laptop because the link provided in the guide was incorrect or no longer active, so I went to Annke's website and found the software, then went back to the guide to finish the process. It's not the end of the world; all you have to do now is wait. If you can't locate it, send them an email. My 'problem,' which necessitated Tech Support, was that remote connection via the Web was no longer supported, despite the fact that it was mentioned in the guide; while this was deceiving and frustrating, Tech Support was able to come up with a solution. around and set up Port Forwarding to give me the access I needed. Most people won't need this, but since I prefer laptops to phones and tablets, it was a no-brainer for me. If there is no resolution, it will be a deal breaker for me. . . plus I didn't want to have to install the SADP Tool on all of my laptops (again, I may be unusual in that I have four laptops at home, but I'm just sharing my experiences). Annke was able to assist, which was fortunate. br>br>Aside from that, keep in mind that the SADP Tool, Web, and DVR (i. e. interfaces are not overly user-friendly (direct connection between DVR and Monitor) friendly, but it takes a little fiddling to get used to the buttons and how to use the system. Again, not a big deal when you consider what you get for the money. br>br>If you're torn between Annke and a competitor, give Annke a chance knowing that they'll be there for you if you need assistance.

This is 720p, not 1080p. On July 16th, 2018, I purchased this item. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> So you changed the cameras to 1080p after I reported you? They used to be black, but now they're white with 1080p resolution. Thank you for defrauding a large number of people. By the way, these dvrs should not be connected to the internet. In China, the ping is used to communicate with an IP address.
