I ordered this from Amazon, but it never arrived. I ordered this from a different website, but I figured I'd leave a review here because there's more traffic. br>The cameras work well, and the image quality is good both during the day and at night. Because it streams faster, it always defaults to a lower resolution. I have an 8-channel NVR, but I only have four 4K cameras connected to it via PoE. br>There is no such thing as technical support; one of my cameras stopped working, and I noticed that two of them had the same IP address. When I looked for a phone number, I came across (what I believe was a 3rd party company claiming to be) Reolink tech support, which wanted to charge me $49. If I give them a score of 99, they will assist me in resolving the problem. To be honest, I was hesitant to give them my c because I doubted their authenticity. number. br>I emailed Reolink customer service 48 hours ago and have yet to hear back. br>After switching from DHCP to a static IP address and assigning my own IP addresses, I was able to get the camera to work. This may be difficult if you are not computer or tech savvy, as it is easily messed up. br>As another reviewer noted, you won't be able to zoom in on a license plate and see the numbers with the 4K camera unless the vehicle is within 10 feet. It's obvious, but you won't be getting any FBI or CIA gear.

Overall, it was a lovely package, but I had to return it due to a design flaw. Because of the large pigtail and bulbous weather capsule, this is not a quick and ascetically pleasing installation. The pigtail, for starters, is black, which makes it stand out. It is wired in three places. One for a reset switch that should be built into the body, another for a non-essential power jack (these are poe and do not require a jack), and a third for a network connection that requires the use of a network cable without a plug in order to use the water proof housing. That means cutting and crimping, which isn't a big deal, but they could build a network female port into the body and cover it with silicone. That would eliminate the tangle of wires that appeared to be hell when I looked at the location where I wanted to mount them. I returned it, and I'm on the lookout for a new job. A lovely camera with a tangle of wires on the back.

Unfortunately, my system arrived and was placed in my office until I had the time to install it, which was a poor decision on my part because the nvr is completely non-functional and I'm past the return deadline. I contacted customer service, followed all of the instructions on the forums and FAQ, and purchased a new HDD as instructed by support; they refunded the purchase price, but there is still no recording, and the nvr refuses to recognize any HDD. So I contacted customer service once more, and now there has been no response at all! So here I am, with a non-functioning surveillance system on my property, ostensibly to warn potential buyers of the dangers that may arise and to install as soon as possible after purchase. Beware of unscrupulous buyers!.

They couldn't even read a car's license plate that was parked 30 feet away from a camera. br>br>I looked for PoE 4K cameras and did a lot of research based on their recommendations. I chose these because the package included everything I needed except color night vision, which was at the bottom of my priority list. br>br>The daytime quality is excellent. I can read a license plate from about 50 feet away with ease. The power over Ethernet (PoE) is stable and dependable. There will be no battery swapping or other such nonsense. It worked right out of the box. br>br>The night IR vision is clear, but the image is blurred beyond recognition due to rain. You can't read reflective license plates because of the IR LED illumination. They are nothing more than a bright white glow. br>br>Although the built-in software isn't the most user-friendly, you can get by without consulting the manual. br>br>While the mobile app is functional and allows you to control a variety of settings as well as view live and recorded video, some features may require direct access to the NVR. It's difficult to locate events that weren't sent as alerts because you need to know the exact date/time stamp you're looking for within a minute or two. Slower playback speeds are available on the mobile app, but a faster 2x or even 4x speed would make it easier to find an event. It would also be helpful if it could tell you where the motion that triggered it was detected. Most of the time, I believe it's an insect flying by, but it'd be interesting to know for sure what the system picked up. br>br>In conclusion, it's a fantastic system, and we're very pleased with the level of security we now have in our home. It's a pain at first to run the wires, but once you've finished, you're done. There's no need to waste time swapping batteries; instead, play around with the wireless settings to get it to work. This system is operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
