If you prefer to use an IP address, you'll need to set up port forwarding for the static IP address you created. As a result, we recommend using the UID login method, which involves scanning the NVR's QR code and saving it to your phone, making it easy to check.

Selected User Reviews For REOLINK 16CH 5MP Home Security Camera System, 8pcs Wired 5MP Outdoor PoE IP Cameras, 4K 16CH NVR with 3TB HDD for 24-7 Recording, RLK16-410B8-5MP
I set up a Reolink NVR system with eight cameras. Then we added six more ad hoc, including one WiFi camera for a location where Cat 5e cable was not available. Instead of running a home run from each camera to the NVR, I purchased four TP-LINK TP-LINK TP-LINK TP-LINK TP-LINK TP-LINK TP-LINK TP-LINK TP-LINK TP-LINK TP-LINK TP-LINK TP- Link PoE switches (excellent product) were used to connect the cameras in clusters of three, four, and six cameras. A couple of the cameras closest to the NVR are hitting it out of the park. Those cameras are connected to two of the NVR's PoE jacks, while the rest are connected to a single LAN jack, which also includes the WiFi camera. It functions admirably. br>br>Because the products come with almost no documentation, I went to the Reolink website, which is horribly inadequate. It appears as if it was written using Google Translate. It's a plug-and-play system. and-play, but if you have any problems, you're on your own to solve them. Reolink should consider the following suggestion: You've made a good product; spend a little money and hire an English-speaking professional. To clean up your website, use a speaking editor. For example: Sharing cameras via a switch, according to one of your contributors, is a fantastic solution. Another user stated that using more than two cameras is not recommended. I have six full-resolution cameras coming in on a single switch, and they look fantastic. br>br>I've made some changes to my original four-point plan. Because the equipment is so good and everything works well once it's set up properly, I upgraded my star rating to five stars.
So, after being robbed for the second time, I decided to invest in these 5MP Reolink IP cameras. First and foremost, the image is of excellent quality. Because of the excessive night lights, I was able to use the client computer software to disable night vision on specific cameras. This is something I think you should look into. It was easy to get everything set up. The Nvr recognized the new IP cameras right away, and I was up and running on my phone just a few minutes after downloading the app. The motion alarms are not something I recommend. They're extremely picky; I tried adjusting the sensitivity and the area, but it still goes off whenever the wind blows or a stray passes. We also managed to apprehend the flower plant thief. The image was of sufficient quality for the perp to be identified. I'm not going to post the close-up video, but I can assure you that it was a good shot. Only con: Cameras become foggy when it rains. as evidenced by the first image. The lenses are still fogged from the rain that fell three days ago. Two more cameras do the same thing, but only for a day. For the price, these are good cameras.
I tend to be skeptical of home electronics that claim to work great right out of the box after working in the IT field for over ten years, including teaching undergraduate computer courses. So, out of the box, this unit was well packaged, simple to connect, and simple to use, much to my surprise. br>br>Within five minutes of unpacking, I was able to connect two cameras. On my monitor, the video quality was excellent; however, not everyone has an HD monitor, so don't expect HD cameras to look good on a low-resolution screen. br>br>It was also simple to set up the mobile phone app, and the image quality is excellent once again. I like the power over Ethernet (PoE) feature because it eliminates the need for me to locate a power outlet where I will hang these cameras. In total, I have eight cameras installed in and around my home. This system will make it possible for more people to be connected, which is a good thing. br>br>The only problem I had was with one of the Ethernet cables. I'm not sure why it didn't work, but I fixed the problem by making my own cable.
My NVR worked flawlessly for 6 months, then I had a problem with it not booting up properly. br>br>My NVR worked flawlessly for 6 months, then I had a problem with it not booting up properly. br>br>My NVR worked flawlessly for 6 months, then I had a problem with it not booting up properly. br>br> I was dubious because the only way to contact Customer Service is via "e-mail. " As a result, I didn't hold out much hope for any assistance. However, they were always quick to respond, and when I checked the next morning, I found messages from them. Following a few messages, They 100% solved all of my issues to my complete satisfaction. br>br>When I upgrade my warehouse security system. I will undoubtedly buy Reolink equipment in the future. Its good equipment but what really stands out to me is their desire to solve my issues (even though the contact is thru email) Its a reliable company and based on my And what gratification!.
For the past two years, we've been using this system in our company. We've never had an issue with any aspect of this system. It was a plug, to be sure. play a role in our operation Only because we were building our own cables for exterior applications (UV/buriable outdoor cable) and very long/difficult cable pulls between stories and rooms of our building was the installation the most difficult. Our cameras have seen two very cold winters with snow and ice, but rain (in Oregon) is the most common occurrence. They've all worked flawlessly in a state with only a few months of good sunshine. There are no issues. Even with just the RLC410 units, the night vision is quite impressive. We also have an RLC423, RLC511, and a few other components. Each camera has done an excellent job. All thumbs up to Reolink for making such an affordable product that is also incredibly well built and versatile. br>br>My only gripe is that when/if you want to speak with a customer support person on the phone and ask direct questions in real time. There doesn't appear to be any way to accomplish this. Rather, it's a series of email Q&As. A with their support staff, which can take days to respond to a question that should be simple. On the bright side. . . br>br> Their staff is extremely friendly, despite the fact that English is clearly not their first language. Some of the responses are cryptic, and some of my questions must be phrased differently in order to be answered. However, I am not a hater. I just wish I could talk to a Chuck who sounds exactly like me.
