Selected User Reviews For CasaCam VS802 Wireless Security Camera System with 7" Touchscreen and HD Nightvision Cameras, AC Powered (2-cam kit)
UPDATE: 2019: br>I've changed my rating to a five-star rating. br>br>You can watch my video review in its entirety on YouTube. Use the search bar to look up "CASACAM WIRELESS. " br>There are three videos available for you to watch. 1. br>br> After speaking with the manufacturer, I was informed that the plastic housing is UV resistant.
2. It's normal for the camera to be warm when you touch it.
3. After a few days of possession of the camera. This system has a lot of options for improving the camera's performance, which I discovered.
4. The video quality is excellentbr>5. The customer service is outstanding. br>br>Two Camera Night Vision CasaCam (without the additional spotlight). br>My first impressions are as follows: CAMERA TYPE:
1. The camera's material appears to be of low quality. It's not made of metal or aluminum; it's made of plastic.
2. Because the lens cover is made of plastic rather than glass, it is likely to be scratched and yellow over time (similar to car headlight covers).
3. L. infrared is a type of infrared light that is used to detect The's on the front of the camera (which turn red at night) appear to be soldered incorrectly.
4. When the camera is turned on (day or night), it feels warm to the touch. I'm not sure if this is a common occurrence.
5. Each camera's power cord is approximately 16 feet long when combined with the supplied extension cable. For most installations, the length is insufficient. They charge a fee of $10. A 15-foot extension cable costs $99 extra.
6. The camera is advertised as "WEATHERPROOF," but it should not be used in the rain. It should be fine mounted under an eave or overhang, but they should think about making a rain/weather shield.
7. Although the mounting bracket is adjustable, a ball and socket would be preferable.
8. The instruction manual is better than I expected, but it does not cover all of the camera's functions. It wouldn't hurt if the font was bigger. The MONITOR is a device that allows you to see what is going on around you.
1. With a slight weight to it, the monitor feels nice. For better viewing of two or more cameras in split screen mode, it should be at least ten inches.
2. The back kick stand is a nice feature, but it feels flimsy and will most likely break under pressure.
3. The screen is a touch screen that responds well but can be a little awkward if you don't get your finger in the right spot (make sure the protective film is removed or it will not work properly).
4. The menu bar is straightforward and straightforward. Once you've played around with the system for a few minutes, you'll have no trouble figuring it out.
5. Unplug the monitor and carry it around with you. This is an excellent feature. According to the reviews I've read, the battery life varies. I've been using it for about an hour and a half and there's still some juice left in it. br>Br>Br>Br>Br>Br>Br>B
1. The video quality during the day is quite good. You'll be able to recognize someone standing at your front door, for example, and you'll see cars driving up and down the street. You won't be able to read a license plate unless it's directly in front of the camera.
2. The motion detection is functional, adjustable, and deactivatable.
3. The video taken at night is fine. It's in black and white (which makes my blue eyes look even creepier), so you might not be able to recognize anyone.
4. The two-way speaker functions, but not as well as I had hoped. It has a tinny tone to it, and there is a noticeable lag between speaking and listening. You must hold down the talk button while speaking and then release it to listen. The video's playback audio appears to be of much higher quality than the live audio.
5. The SD card has a large amount of free space on it. I put the SD card in my computer for the best playback because I have more control over the playback options there.
6. Internet access is available. I'm not using that option right now, so I don't have anything to say about it. br>THE END RESULTS: br>The camera system isn't bad. The video quality is excellent, especially during the day, and the camera system includes features such as time recording and alarms. The monitor's portability is one of its best qualities. I wish the camera had been built more solidly. I'm not sure how long this camera will last. From all of the negative reviews I've read on Amazon, the manufacturer has responded to the majority of them by attempting to work with their customers to resolve any issues that have arisen, which gives me the impression that this is a good company with improvements on the way. Of course, I've already spent my money on a product that, for the time being, appears to be very effective.
I was using them as kid and dog cameras, and I wanted to be able to communicate with them in both directions. All of my requirements were met with this camera! The two-way communication is amazing, the monitor can be carried around without being plugged in (although it doesn't last very long, only about 4 hours but it charges back up quickly), it can be plugged into the internet so you can view remotely from your phone, it's so affordable compared to others, you can add cameras to it, it's weather resistant, night vision is clear and amazing, it saves footage so I can go back and review clips, and I haven't had a problem with it. I'd give it a higher rating if I could. I did my research and tried out some of the more well-known cameras, but this one was by far my favorite! I haven't had to deal with the company yet because I haven't run into any issues, so I'm not sure how their customer service is, but I suppose that's a good thing! This is something I would strongly advise anyone to try!.
I'd buy it again and tell a friend about it. That is precisely what I was looking for. This is a nice, simple, and inexpensive camera system that does not require wifi, a router, or the internet to function. The setup is simple, the cameras are excellent, the monitor is excellent, and the video recording function is flawless. The night vision is adequate, the motion detection works but has a limited range, and the audio (one-way or two-way) is satisfactory. You can view the cameras remotely after downloading the app to your phone and connecting the monitor to your router. The quality of your internet connection on both ends (camera end and cell phone end) will determine how well you can view the cameras remotely. Please keep in mind that this is a low-cost camera system with average picture quality and limited features. This is not the system for you if you want a high-end video system with a lot of features. However, if you're looking for a good camera system with reasonable functionality, I can't think of anything better at this price point. **Quick update** I've had the product for six months and it's been in constant use 24 hours a day, seven days a week. One of the power adapters stopped working, so I contacted the company via email and they responded quickly (less than 12 hours) and said they'd send me a replacement with no problems or issues. Things break, that's life, but good customer service like this is what makes a product stronger. I am overjoyed!.
It's preferable to have a camera with a cable connection! br>The diameter of the camera's power cable is less than 0. 20" when using the connector 0 40”. A 7/16" through hole was required as a minimum. br>During testing, it was discovered that the audio alarm level must be set higher than zero in order for triggered video to record at all. The recording schedule is only for triggered recordings, not for forced recordings. There must be one continuous period of recording per day, with no interval recording or broken segments. The 7" touch screen requires careful finger placement to operate the camera display. The user manual is difficult to read due to the blurred smaller text. The display works fine with each camera view being sequenced one by one. Single views can be seen from across the room at any time. My remorse as a buyer: I didn't go with four metal case cameras and a 10-inch Wi-Fi monitor. At a cost of less than double, you can have a Wi-Fi display. Also, before you buy, download the manual; CasaCam does not provide one.
