I purchased two more of these interior PTZ cameras, but they will not connect to the app. I'd been working with tech support for a long time, and the problem had been escalated to their tier 3 level, but they ignored me like a Democrat ignores his constituents. These last two will have to be returned because they appear to have too much going on. I have three other cameras that work perfectly, but the last three of these cameras have had this issue, which I believe is a hardware/firmware issue with a MAC address conflict. I have three other cameras that work perfectly, but the last three of these cameras have had this issue. One of them has already been swapped. If they do not call, I will return their calls the following week. In my line of work, I am a highly technical individual who has a thorough understanding of the situation.
Terrible! br>I purchased two of these to keep an eye on my second home in Vegas while my family and I are away. br>They worked fine for a day, then went offline when we arrived in Canada. The Internet is good and working fine, and I have a cheaper YI camera in the same room that is working fine. I'm not happy at all, even though Lorex is a good name, this camera is garbage. Do not buy if you are going to be away.
If you were born in the early 1960s, you may have a few cameras lying around the house that don't work, but it's too late to send them back, and you don't want to throw them away because they're perfectly good cameras. There are three of them in total. This one, on the other hand, is up and running, and when I leave the dog at home, I simply open the app, press play, and tell my dog to get off the counter. The cost of the camera will be covered entirely by the savings on food.
This product is great because it's simple to set up and use. I didn't have to pay a monthly fee, and I didn't have to give my personal information to some faceless corporation ruled by dictators, like China. Well done, Lorex; I've been a long-time user of your products, and you never fail to provide me with dignity and security.
My Lorex outdoor cameras are reliable, but this indoor wireless camera is not. It's fantastic when this indoor camera is ready to work. However, it goes offline when it wants to, and I'm not sure why (the Wi-Fi connection is stable and the power supply is constant). I contacted Tech Support about this problem and am waiting for a response. I wouldn't recommend this particular Lorex camera after going away for an entire weekend and seeing it go offline on its own.
I would have liked it even more if I could download videos to my phone app. Why should I be allowed to copy videos to your phone if I can connect to the camera to view live feeds and video logs?.
I purchased a Lorex 2K Pan-Action Camera. Tilt Indoor Wi-Fi is a wireless network that allows you to tilt your device Because my current cameras are fixed view inexpensive cameras that use the ardorcam app, I liked the pan/tilt and zoom functions on the Wi-Fi Security Camera W462AQ to monitor the interior of my boat. Those cameras provide excellent detail and load the live view or event view almost instantly. While the Lorex view detail is superior, the Lorex Home app is rarely used, and it can take up to seven hours to get it to work. I have to try 8 times before I can see a live view, and I usually get an oops something went wrong message. All three cameras use the same internet service and are placed at the same distance from the antenna. At home, I have a Lorex security camera system, which is very effective. This Lorex camera is not one I would recommend.
I can't comment on the product's quality because I inadvertently purchased a used item. Like New. Except it wasn't the case. The previous owner had linked the camera to their Lorex account, then returned it without disconnecting it. As a result, I am unable to use it. There's no way to take this camera out of their account or program it locally for my network. Which means I'll have to repackage this item for return and hope Amazon doesn't send it to someone else.
