Please keep in mind that once the camera has been set to enable the home kit feature, cloud storage will no longer work. br>br>In order to use the cloud storage in Homekit Secure Video, the camera must first sign up.
Yes, the camera will simply begin overwriting the oldest data, so you will always have the most recent number of days worth of recording, depending on the size of the card. This can be used in both continuous recording and activity/event recording modes. Naturally, because continuous mode records continuously, the number of days recorded will be less.
The main account from the eufy security app must share the admin account. Otherwise, even if it is connected to the same wifi network, it will be unable to access the doorbell.

These are the best Apple HomeKit cameras I've ever used. They're incredibly simple to use, and they support HKSV with the shortest delay I've ever seen. I compared them to various Arlo models as well as Logitech Circle 2 cameras and found them to be significantly superior. If they released an outdoor version at a slightly higher price point and fixed the two-way audio in HomeKit, I would use these cameras exclusively. If Eufy takes advantage of this opportunity properly, they will be a winner. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I went out and purchased another two. That's how good they are.
The fact that this product does not integrate with the homebase2 is not stated anywhere on Eufy's website or in the product description. The way the product is advertised makes it appear as if all of the products are integrated, which they are not. According to chat rooms, functionality for this was supposed to be coming "soon," but there have been no updates in the last few months. Because your rules for Homebase 2 products do not apply to these cameras, they are rendered useless. Today is the last day to return all Eufy items.
I was hoping for the best. Although the price did not disappoint me, I was turned off by it. I put the camera through its paces in a variety of settings. I mount the camera in my car and set it to record continuously 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Everything was fine until I restarted my vehicle. Then, with a flash of blue light, it would return. IR was still at it. When it was restarted, it didn't record anything and couldn't connect to the internet. It isn't an issue with the cameras ability to record offline because it worked fine before I left my house, but it is an issue with Eufy controlling something during start up to activate the device. It can't be called a security camera if it can't work offline!! Nest is a brick that doesn't have access to the internet or power. Why would I want yet another brick that isn't connected to the internet?
2K. Here, I'm making a comparison to Reolink. These have POE, a higher-quality image, remote view, and are priced at $40. omg. They are functional even when you are not connected to the internet. I had hoped for more, but there is a lot of artifacting. br>Is there a way to detect people? Oh, my god. With regard to person detection, this thing was quick and cool. They did a fantastic job. A small bubble of the person detected is included in the timeline. wow. Not too bad for a two-way speaker. I really like the alert feature. br>Do you want to design something? In comparison to others, this is a modern design. Simple. It's something I really enjoy. So, what's the deal with the two-star rating? The image quality isn't great, but the other two are for an offline bricked device, and they boast the camera's ability to do AI onboard. Is it, however, a fabrication? Why does this camera need to be connected at least once in order to function? br>What has been the most disappointing? It's not a surveillance camera, either. It's merely a toy, after all. I purchased it to use as a security device.
wyze. I had originally purchased a wyze indoor camera because of its excellent reviews. In our entryway, we have a high ceiling and the space is very dark. As we walked through the entrance way testing the camera, the wyze camera randomly identified us. I contacted Wyze support, and they were stumped as to why it didn't always recognize us. I had copied the log and sent it to them. br>br>I made the decision to buy a Eufy indoor camera. I discovered that the camera's resolution was twice that of Wyze, and that you could use a 128GB microsd card instead of the 32GB that Wyze allowed. The Eufy camera's picture clarity was noticeably better than the Wyze camera's, and the camera always recognized us as we entered our entryway.
The image quality on these cameras is excellent. The app is well-designed and easy to set up. Despite the fact that they appear to be connected on my home network, these cameras almost always show up as offline in the app. After doing some more research, I discovered that this is a common occurrence, and that others have had similar problems when contacting Eufy support. Support's first suggestion is to test the cameras on another network, then they offer a replacement, and finally they want to do a complete return if the replacement fails to stay connected. They don't offer any real solutions to the disconnecting issue, only scripted responses to issues. It would be very refreshing to come across a company that actually stands behind their products and makes a genuine effort to resolve a problem with them, especially when the problem appears to be affecting a large number of people. If you really want and need cameras to work, you'll need to connect them to smart plugs so that you can constantly reset them. In order for the product to work, this step must be eliminated. I'm hoping Eufy makes a genuine effort to resolve this serious problem, but I'm not holding my breath based on my previous experience with product support. I strongly advise you to buy a new camera because these ones are a waste of money due to the disconnecting issue.
