It'll suffice for a gas line. It's far superior to a match!
To be sure, I use it for a variety of leak detection applications, including HVAC and other systems. It's even useful for locating needles. tire punctures of various sizes I'm a huge fan of your work.
You won't be able to do that. The gas should emerge from the pipes, not from a vacuum. You must first charge the system with nitrogen before using this product to locate the leak.

I found two leaks with this product, which is excellent. I suggest applying it with a small, disposable brush to avoid wasting a lot of product. The leak is immediately apparent. Also, look around the joints with a small hand-held mirror. That's how I discovered one leak.
Like a shower head or window cleaner, I expected it to spray in multiple directions uniformly to cover a large area. I didn't get any bubbles, so I'm not sure if I didn't spray precisely enough or if the leak is elsewhere. With the single jet, you have too much in one spot and it begins to drip down, while the surrounding areas remain dry.
Offer to return after the heat wave had passed, with a follow-up in January or February when he had slowed down! (As a result, I decided to take matters into my own hands and buy this product. ) In under three minutes of work, I discovered a leak!.
I've been using leak detectors for a long time, but I'd never tried a spray version. It worked so well that I'll never use the other styles again; your hands stay clean, the coating is more consistent, and, best of all, it blows the biggest bubbles when a leak is detected.
It was exactly what I was looking for. I discovered a leak at a fitting that had eluded me despite my best efforts to find it. It's simple to squirt on the valves and pipe fittings. It's thick, so it's easy to spread around with a small brush in tight spots where it's difficult to squirt; I used it to cover all the joints in the suspect line as soon as I got it, and about five minutes later, I noticed the tiny bubble slowly forming. I was only losing about a quarter of a psi over the course of a day, and this discovered it. I disassembled that joint, cleaned it, applied new pipe dope, and reassembled it, and my pressure test remained rock solid at 15 psi for more than 24 hours with no leaks.
Because of the solution's thickness and high viscosity, it's best to use a dabber (like Rectorseal's Better Bubble product) rather than a sprayer. To use this properly, I had to pour everything into a larger bottle with a wider mouth and a dabber. When I used the sprayer that came with the product, I wasted a lot of the solution, but other than that, I think the solution is just as good as Better Bubble.
This is an excellent leak detector for car air conditioning, home air conditioning, car tires, and other leak detection applications. If you spray it on the schrader valve, make sure to rinse it afterward and let it dry before replacing the cap. When homeowners' air conditioning systems are restarted each year, they should check for leaks. If you have a small refrigerant leak, this could save you thousands of dollars in repair costs.
As others have mentioned, the spray nozzle is a straight stream and cannot mist the spray over a large area, but it otherwise works perfectly. I discovered my leak in a matter of minutes and used very little soap, though I did waste a small amount getting it to where it was needed. This soap is something I would recommend, though I would replace the sprayer with one that is adjustable.
