It's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Only the ones that cover the entire outlet and look like a door with a tight latch would work for the Ethernet outlet, in my opinion. It will not be as unobtrusive as standard outlet covers.
Only if your baby is left outside unattended.
No, I do not believe that is true.

Horrible! I had to dash to Walmart and pick up some other brands. These are far too small to be used in outlets, and they are poorly constructed. It is a PAIN to get in and out of them. They had to be coaxed out of their hiding places. When we tried to remove it, it actually BROKE inside our outlet. My husband had to turn off circuits and pry the thing out with tools. WARNING: BE AWARE!.
These are dreadful; they rip the plug out! The entire outlet must be replaced!.
They're said to be difficult to get rid of by some. That's exactly the point; they shouldn't be removable by children. I prefer that they are difficult to remove so that my 4-year-old does not play with the outlet. Other products were used, and my son was able to remove them using only his fingers. Other reviews claiming that they are difficult to remove seem a little strange to me. It's the equivalent of writing a review about how bright a flashlight is. I would purchase this item again.
This is fantastic! Many of the negative reviews I read said they were too difficult to remove once they were installed. That's precisely what I'm trying to say! It takes some effort for me to get these out now that I'm an adult. To pry them loose, I have to use the tips of both hands' fingers. That means the baby has no chance of surviving. I found exactly what I needed.
This is my first time using this product, and my 8-month-old baby easily broke one of them! I don't believe they test the products; some are excellent, while others simply do not function.
**UPDATE*
Included in this pack is a plastic tool for removing these quickly and easily! Otherwise, getting rid of them is extremely difficult- It's fantastic. br>br>I'm tempted to give them fewer stars because removing them hurts my hands, but I can't complain because it gives me peace of mind knowing that my children won't be able to do so. I get under the side of these with a pen cap to pop them off, but even doing so takes a minute. They are, however, simple to install, and the safety of your children is more important than the few occasions when I need to remove them.
They were all over the top of my bed, erecting a small civilization intent on conquering the world (or at least my room) where the carpet and wall met, fortunately on only one and a half sides. br>br>After reading a number of recent articles on how to prevent and eliminate bed bugs, some of them suggested covering the outlets because bed bugs can hide in there when it's "dangerous" and then emerge when it's safe. So I bought these to make sure they didn't have as much room to hide. They perform admirably. Putting it on and taking it off is a breeze. Completely cover the outlets. br>br>I've got them on my power strip as well. They're not quite right. It appears that I have them domino layered, but the area where they sit on top of each other is very small, so I'm not concerned; it's better than using nothing at all. If you're using this for your child, they'll almost certainly be able to lift them up, but it'll suffice for bugs. br>br>I'm not sure why there aren't more square outlet cover pieces available. Every single one of them is a circle. They would fit easily on power strips if they were square. In any case, 5 stars. I had a good idea of what I was getting and how they appeared. It was well worth it.
They begin to slide out as soon as I touch the corner. The only reason I bought these was to prevent my toddlers from removing them on their own (despite being closely monitored). These do nothing to assuage my fears about my son getting out of bed in the middle of the night or very early in the morning and finding an outlet now that he is transitioning into a toddler bed. Because these are the WORST outlet covers I've ever used, there is a lot of false advertising with this product.
