a line for fishing After slightly heating the emblems, I used fishing line to remove them from the paint of a car. Wrap the fishing line around the plastic and tuck it behind it. the adhesive tape with an upwards pointing arrow a cutting motion that goes up and down This will gently remove the emblem from the car's surface without scratching the main mirror (it also works to remove the blindspot mirror from a car without scratching the main mirror). Just a thought that might be of use to you in your current situation.
I use Command 3M Damage Free Hanging Refill Strips, small or medium size, look for one that uses small hooks, not decorative poster strips, and it should be strong enough to stick on the back of each lock (hold 1 pound per strip). I usually use two strips per lock, for a total of four Command strips per Xtraguard, as opposed to the super glue adhesive that came with the lock, which can damage the surface. When you need to remove these locks with Command strips, simply pull them out from underneath; the drywall will not be damaged. I purchased a large quantity of these strips solely to be able to reuse these locks in various locations. Don't worry, these Command strips are very strong and hold on to the surface tightly, so unless your kids are superhuman or you didn't wipe down the surface with alcohol before sticking to it, they won't be able to easily pull it out of the wall/cabinet/fridge.
Mine has already been used three times. Simply purchase a roll of 3M double-sided sticky tape from Walmart. Cut the lock to the desired size and stick it in place. And getting rid of it was a breeze. I simply took an eating knife and inserted it into the corner, giving it some life, and it popped off. There isn't any messes, and there aren't any scratches. Remove all traces of dirt.
To answer your question, yes, these latches will hold up on the outside of a hot oven. We have a one-year-old Amana oven that does get very hot on the outside. Getting rid of an oven because it gets hotter than you'd like sounds like a luxury few can afford. I cook almost every day, using a temperature range of 250 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit in the oven. After two months of daily oven use, the adhesive on both ends has not come loose.

year- old. We were having a hard time keeping our two-year-old away from the refrigerator. He'd go in, open the drawers, and then close the door. It was the ideal game for our young son. When he found out that one of these locks had been added, he was furious. So far, it appears to be standing up to his tantrums and angry pulling as he rages against the machine. door.
For years, I've been trying to figure out what to do with this circular cabinet. It's not pretty, but it works, and it keeps my spices from getting strewn all over the kitchen and the cat!.
So I bought four and only used three. I don't have children, but I used them to keep my cats from tampering with things under the sink and in a cabinet containing their food. Installing and placing them on the cabinet is a breeze - You're done with just one quick addition. If you do decide to purchase these, make sure the latches are not installed beneath a handle. I bought two of them in error, and it was impossible to unlock the latch because it was hidden beneath a handle. The latches glued on almost instantly thanks to the quick adhesive, but I had to remove it due to the incorrect placement. Which leads me to the reason for my three-star rating: It's extremely difficult to remove, despite the product's claims to the contrary. 'All you have to do is pry it off, beginning with a corner,' the product and instructions say. 'This is something you CANNOT do. ' The adhesive is extremely strong, and if you're not careful, it could ruin your cabinets. I tried for a long time to get rid of it, but I couldn't even get close to doing so. br>Putting Goo Gone (other reviewers say Acetone (nail polish remover) will work, but that can easily damage wood or paint, so I wouldn't recommend it) and letting it soak for a few minutes was what actually got the latches off the cabinets. After that, I'd attempt to pry it free - With only my hands, I was able to remove one. The other ones required a VERY CAREFUL wedgeing of the latch off the cabinet with the screwdriver. I simply sprayed more Goo Gone if it didn't come off right away. After that, I was able to cleanly remove it. Others suggested using a blowdryer to dry out the adhesive, but I didn't try it. Others have suggested cutting the adhesive from behind with string or floss - I tried that as well, but it didn't work because it couldn't get behind it and was difficult to remove; I have no idea how difficult it will be if the adhesive has been on the cabinet for several years (I only had mine on for a couple of hours), and I'm not going to find out. br>The story comes to an end here. This product works well and keeps both children and pets out of cabinets, but it takes a lot of effort to remove and, as other reviewers have pointed out, can damage your cabinets. If you do decide to get it, keep in mind that it will be difficult to remove; however, the steps outlined above should help someone suffer less.
However, I used the second one to "lock" the baby gate into the kitchen, which he had discovered!.
I bought these to keep my 18-month-old twins away from our entertainment center while they were exploring. They were particularly fond of our two glass doors. It was simple to put them on, but one of my daughters tugged on the strap before it was fully secured, ripping the back latch (which we don't use) from the wood. It wouldn't stick any longer, so I used some of my extra command strips to secure it. We don't see the tabs because it's mostly hidden, and it works perfectly! The locks are bulky and unsightly, but they do the job and they haven't figured it out yet. By the time they're three or four, I'm sure they'll figure out that all they have to do is push a few buttons and voila! You have access to everything. They are, however, excellent for the time being. br>br>It would be great if they included extra adhesive just in case (or to reuse). It'd be nice if they made them in black, as well as brushed and polished silver, just to make them look a little more appealing. br>br>They deliver exactly what I needed at a great price; I highly recommend them! br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: 7th of September 2013: br>br>Even though my daughters are over two years old, they are still unable to fit into these. I've also put them on all of the cabinets in our kitchen. If I leave one off by accident, they try but fail to replace it. They have small hands and lack strength, so I'm confident that these will last a long time. You really have to push the side buttons and pull it off, which my daughters are incapable of doing. br>In order to save the cabinets in our rental house, I removed the adhesive provided on the lock completely and stuck it on with command strips instead. My daughters have tried everything to get them off, including using command strips instead of the provided adhesive. They're still my favorite! EDITED ON THE 29TH OF FEBRUARY 2016: My daughters have now reached the age of four. 5 year olds who have only recently figured out how to open these locks. Fortunately, we no longer require them, so I deleted them all. These locks are superior to any other type for keeping small children out of drawers, cabinets, refrigerators, dishwashers, and other similar items; they worked flawlessly for us for over three years!.

It had gotten to us. A few days ago, I wore one of these. The attached photos were waiting for me when I got home today. He snatched a sliver of trash bag that wasn't covered by the lid and dragged it out as far as he could, but he couldn't open the lid. Even though we had to clean up shredded black plastic from the floor afterwards, I consider that a success.
