With these, my almost three-year-old is unable to open the cabinet. However, a six-year-old with viking strength. hmmm.
Yes- There is a setting that allows you to keep it unlocked.
Mine is mostly used to open drawers. The only time you won't be able to do this is if there isn't enough space inside the drawer to fit the latch. It requires at least 1 inch of flat surface on the inside of the drawer's topmost edge. Because of the design of the drawers, there isn't enough room in my shallower drawers.
The majority of locks are only effective for a short period of time. 75- 0" thick. Vmaisi child locks, on the other hand, can be used on doors that are 2 inches thick. I hope this has been of assistance to you.

It appears that someone is upset.
I didn't buy these to keep a baby out of cabinets, which is hilarious in and of itself. They were purchased to keep a cat out of the house. My young Bengal gets himself into everything. He's clever enough to wrap his paws around cabinet handles and pull them open with his paws. Despite the fact that we only use natural cleaners and products, I don't want him rooting around in our cabinets because he has a bad habit of chewing on plastic and soft materials (I'd rather he didn't die, you know?). As a result, we put them in our kitchen as well as our bathroom. He was dissatisfied, but I am overjoyed! He tore these apart for about a week before giving up. Jambini, thank you for providing me with peace of mind. br>br>These were incredibly simple to install, and we've never had an issue with them not closing or opening properly. While it may appear that using a magnet to open your cabinets every time you need something is inconvenient at first, it quickly becomes second nature and isn't a problem. Bonus points for not destroying cabinets (which is important because I live in an apartment). These are highly recommended for keeping all critters out of the cabinets!.
I'm guessing I just got a bad batch based on all the positive reviews? To keep my toddler out of the cleaning supplies cabinet, I purchased this item. It was simple to put together and worked well until the magnetic latch broke - The latch was shattered into two pieces! I thought maybe I was being too rough with it, but I bought a box of four, and within a week of use, all four had broken in the same way. Worse, you won't be able to return the item.
With our first child, we purchased a set of these three years ago. Since then, we've moved and welcomed a new child, who is now old enough to rummage through the cabinets. We had a great first experience and decided to give it another shot, especially since the prices had dropped from $20 for a pair to $20 for two pairs. This is a fantastic reason to stock up on supplies! br>br>Since our initial purchase in 2017, an installation jig has been added to this product to keep the latch and lock together for a perfect fit. I'll admit that if you're going to install this on a single cabinet door where you won't be able to see or hold the locks before adhesion, you'll have to get creative. I was fortunate in that I had a drawer above me that I could remove and mount it through. br>br>This purchase has exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend it to anyone. br>br>**If you don't consider yourself a "handy" person or are concerned that you will mess up the installation, I would also advise you to seek help. The adhesive is extremely sticky and will degrade if you try to peel it off and reapply it.
In a review, I can't adequately express how bad these locks are. They're completely worthless. They wouldn't stay put if they were cornered; The sticky substance does not adhere well. It won't hook if you install it slightly off, so you'll have to unhook and reattach it. stick. By then, the sticky substance will no longer adhere to the surface. On some of mine, the magnetic latch on the inside did not pop up, making it impossible to lock. Frustration is never ending. I ended up tossing these and driving an hour to Lowe's to purchase their standard locks instead. br>br>To be clear, the problems were not limited to me; my spouse also tried unsuccessfully. I'm really disappointed.
These cabinet and drawer locks are very appealing to me.
PROS: This brand's packaging is attractive, and it works well for cabinet doors and door faces that are thinner. The highly adhesive foam tape makes it simple to set up.
CONS: Thicker drawer faces and cabinet doors are not compatible with the magnet. The magnet on the latch, I believe, is the source of the issue. br>ADVICE ON BUYING I can't recommend this product because there are other options with stronger magnets on the latch part that work better on all cabinets and drawers, as much as I like it on some cabinets with thinner doors. Some brands even offer more latches for the same price, but they aren't as well packaged or advertised.
The lock is constantly jammed and unable to drop into place to lock. I agree with the comments about the adhesive being too weak. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> The seller provided a partial refund, and the service was excellent.
