Questions & Answers
Under the light switch, the extension handle drops 12 inches.
Any slot on the multi-switch panel can be used to mount the extender.
I am sorry, but there is no such thing. The only option is to stay on the same side. As with my switch, the lever is on the left, which makes it difficult to operate.
This would not seem to be a problem. Rather than actually moving up and down, the little bar that moves up and down over the actual switch button does the actual turning on.

My husband wasn't too thrilled I spent $10 on it but he isn't at home with two toddlers and a newborn all day. Despite being pretty short and quite independent, my daughter is only 2 years old. Potty training, which allows her to go to the bathroom or to her bedroom and turn on the lights without requiring me to be there, is already in place. The baby has been nursing for the past four months, so I am unable to jump up to help her all the time. This will also enable her to continue to be independent when she needs something as she was just starting to get scared of going into a dark room. It has been complained about that the switch hinge serves a purpose in our bathroom, but it might not suit someone else. The hinge is necessary to make it work because it would not work otherwise. It has never been a problem for her in her bedroom since the hinge permits her to turn on and off the lights easily. In less than 10 minutes, I had both of these installed as well. I couldn't believe how simple it was. It would be a good product to recommend to family or friends if they are looking for something for their kids!.
Initially, I hesitated to purchase these due to the reviews and the feedback regarding the swivel of the arm, but I couldn't come up with any other solution for the rocker switches in my house, so I purchased them. You will not believe how simple it is to install them. They are not necessarily attractive, but anyone who sees them knows they are for little children, so the majority of the focus should be on the function. This means they will be easily removable as well. I like how they fit over the existing faceplate. The second thing is that my grandson (almost 3 years old) had no issues One is in the bathroom and the other is in the bedroom at As soon as I showed him how to swivel one of them and he couldn't, I directed him to pull the extension arm up and pull it straight down, then push it Since then, he has never had to be shown again, and now he knows how to turn the lights on and off. I highly recommend this action! This was a fast, easy, and inexpensive solution to my problem!.
Though I am intrigued by the function of these extension light switches, I am not sure why they can In order to turn on the light, my daughter has to push it up quite a bit. When she tries to push it up to turn it on it pivots and she gets frustrated. It's simple to turn them off since she simply pulls it down, but it's a bit more tricky to turn them on. It was yesterday when I hot glued the swivel to ensure that it would not move any more, hoping that would be.
It was my hope that this light extender would meet my expectations. I realized though that the design wasn't the best they could have come up with after I had installed it. It is the pivoting center that causes the problem. The light swivels every time my three year old tries to turn it on or off, so I have to fix the problem every time. I'm not being lazy, but she's three and asking for independence and wanting to be able to do things her own way. It is now easy for her to turn on and off the lights in all of the rooms by using the switch extenders we purchased from Amazon. She finds these switch extenders very useful. There is no pivot and everything has worked perfectly according to plan. I would have given it five stars even if it didn't have the pivot. I am very disappointed that this is the only extension I can find for the rocker switch.
Then I wouldn't have stopped what I was doing just to go turn on the light for my child where ever he needed me. It saved me a lot of time. I have a five year old who is so tiny, that he still doesn't reach the switches as of now. She is very happy with these as they work just as I need, have been easy to install, and they made my life so much easier. One is in her bedroom and the other is Her excitement was incredible, so she immediately asked if she could have them in the hall and laundry room as well. My kiddo is old enough to understand that we only move it up and down, but not to pull it away from the wall. The plastic is a bit flimsy, but she was able to learn that she needs to only move it up and down. This is nothing to be worried about. If you have toddlers, that is definitely a problem, but we'll have no problems!.
If I had any change, I would make it so I can use it Lights work fine when the light is on the right side of you (when you are facing it), but they are very strange when they are on the left side because the switch is built into the wall and not as easy to reach. When one of our neighbors stops by, they're amazed at the ingenuity of this contraption. It would be delightful if it could also be used as a reading stand. Now that we have purchased four sets, we have a total of five. Although they are just two plastic pieces, I would prefer if they were a little cheaper. The last two sets weren't as easy to install as they did not look flush with the existing light switches and after they were installed there was a gap when the lever was pushed or pulled. As a whole, I would.
I highly recommend this book! This is incredibly simple to install (I installed them in under 5 minutes by myself), and it is Once I demonstrated how to use this device to my toddler, there has not been any need for additional guidance. The way that the lever attaches to the original switch plate and that you're able to choose between the extension lever (for children) or the simple switch (for adults) is great. It's a great way for you and your toddler to become a bit more independent (and save.
The light switches in our new house are placed higher than them, and to be honest, we didn't even notice them until I had to turn on every light in our home for our 3-month-old baby. (bathroom, bedroom, closet, hallway, one year old. University of Ghana). Apart from annoying me, it makes my life more complicated that my son had to make a (dangerous) step to turn on the light in his bedroom. This step is generally constructed with a ninja turtle shell raiser/horse stall combination. It was a bit concerning to buy this type of light switch, but these actually work well and my son loves being able to turn on the lights in his bedroom and closet. This is a highly recommended book!.
