I bought several packs of these to replace every outlet in my new house. I thought that this was the safest solution for baby proofing the house. Despite this, the outlets would not hold any plugs at the time of installation. Whenever the plus was inserted into the outlet, it would come out. When we needed to use the outlet, we either had to use various items to hold the plugs in place, or physically place the plugs into the outlet with our hands until we didn't need them any longer. Ultimately, we had to uninstall these outlets and return them due to their inability to function.
Because you must work on one at a time to reach the whole house, they took a while to install. Our problem was that he left the outlets alone for a while after we set them all up during a nap. When we ordered these, my son was just learning how to walk at the age of 11 months. It became dangerous when he started putting toys on them and we were afraid he would get shocked. In the future, he will either leave them alone or if he does engage in play, he will not stick anything in them! Getting rid of the plastic pieces was a win for the parents!.
The plastic outlet covers are great if you don't use the outlet, but do not address the fact that even a determined child can unplug a night-light without any help or assistance There's a spot to plug into a light or other item and you can easily plug in anything there. This outlet protector allowed me to once again be able to use my outlets. Whenever my toddler pulls something out that has been plugged in, the springs pop out As soon as she opens the loaded cover, it slams shut, so she can't put anything in it. My wife and I started with a dozen and we've been so happy with them, we just bought a dozen more right now.
I didn't have to ask my husband for help when installing them! We will probably leave them in after the baby grows up, since they are so cute. In the event that the price is affordable, maybe we could convert all outlets The ones hiding behind furniture as well as those in plain sight. This is the only way to ensure your outlets are.
Just recently, my wife and I bought our first house, and we had to baby proof it. It has been great to have these! This makes it more convenient than the outlet covers, because you don't have to do anything extra. With Easy's easy install, you'll never have to worry about setting it up.
We stopped attracting our grandson to it now, though he still loves it. It allows me to feel better knowing they're there even if I still need to be cautious and present.
Several more are on their way to replace all the ones we have in stock. With this, the house will look more modern and the yellow plug outlets will be covered. Pets and kids are also able to use it with no problems. As a bonus, it won't let in drafts through the inner walls, so I think it will be energy efficient.
I have had no issues with them so far. In case the original electrical outlets are not installed perfectly, they operate just fine. However, if the outlet is not flush with the surrounding wall, or sticks out a little, then there may not be a secure connection between the outlet and the wall,.
