Yes, it will accommodate thick power strip cords.
If I understand your question correctly, you want to know if a cable (as in cable TV) cord will work. It's difficult to say because cable cords can be quite stiff. You'll have about 2 inches from the outlet's face to bend the cable cord up or down so that it can exit the hole. So, if you can make that happen, everything should fall into place.
No, I don't think so. To unlock, you must align it with zero.

This seemed like a good way to keep a mischievous child from unplugging my internet modem and television on a regular basis. I like that, unlike many others, it has enough room for adaptors and power strip plugs. It does, however, require some sort of mechanism to secure the cords so that a child cannot simply reach under the bottom of the box and pull out the plugs.
They're massive and unattractive, but they work like rock stars. In her room, my 3-year-old daughter was doing, well, I'm not sure what kind of shifty things. During the night, the breaker kept tripping. She claimed that it was her younger sister (who doesn't even share a room with her). br>br>The covers are simple to put together but difficult to open, even for a child. Things like her nightlight can still be plugged in even though she can't reach the plug. After we installed covers on all of the outlets in her room, our breaker miraculously stopped tripping.
The only reason I'm not is that I live in an older house with outlets that require an extension if I need to plug in a three-prong plug, which adds to the bulk! I first ordered a safety first outlet cover, which not only wouldn't close, but also had a hole at the bottom that was too small for the power strip's thickness: I was extremely dissatisfied, so when I ordered this gem, I was overjoyed that the power strip fit, but I did have to squish the panel shut, which is why I gave it four stars, but it stayed shut! I just wish it had more space so I wouldn't have to close it so forcefully. Apart from that, it's fantastic; I'm pleased with it, and it's made my outlet secure!.
It took only 30 seconds for my five-year-old to figure it out. I'm guessing he'll keep unplugging things. It was returned to me.
All of our other outlets have a traditional plug cover that is removed when they are not in use, but this is a children's library, so the light is always on. Now that he's figured out how to plug and unplug the cords, it's clearly a problem. So I came across this outlet cover, which is PERFECT! It's spacious enough for larger, oddly shaped items, which I appreciate. It took me less than two minutes to set up. AND it includes two different plug cover options, so I was covered even if I needed the rectangular plate cover! THIS IS AMAZING!.
This one is by far the best! I like how big the "box" is, which allows for large plug heads. Compared to the other two brands, the plastic thickness is comparable. It's a breeze to open and close this door. The "locking wheel" is an extra layer of security to keep the cover box locked (a fantastic idea!). It is well-thought-out and well-designed. I placed a second order for 5 more of these!.
It actually accommodates all of your nursery's odd, bulky plugs. br>br>I have a friend who has the Hatch. Alexa plugs in perfectly, and I believe it will take your toddler some time to figure out how to open it. br>br>As someone who will be the mother of two children under the age of two, I'm expecting a lot more!.
This outlet case is very simple to use; it arrived in a nice clean white condition with no damage, and it does exactly what it claims to do. The only drawback I see are two things: first, if you have problems with your fingers, such as long nails or arthritis, pushing the two buttons at the same time may be more difficult; second, even though it appears flush against the wall from my outlet, you can pull on it a little and it moves around the box; I don't think it will come off, but who knows; and third, although it appears flush against the wall from my outlet, you can pull on it a little and it moves around the box; So, if you have command strips or anything similar, I'll probably remove this and replace it with it. br>You take out your old outlet plate, put the one they gave you (one of two) in the box, and then screw it all together on the outlet on the wall.
