It was not an issue for me
I can easily pull them out of my 1 year old's mouth. It is not possible to lock something into place with the locking tab. The cover is better than no cover or just plain caps, but it is not a childproof cap.
It will probably prevent water from entering the socket, but it will still take time To comply with codes, every plug should have a GFCI outlet located 6 feet away from any water source.
My understanding is that China is involved.

The solution is easy and cheap enough. I am very pleased with them. HOWEVER, they may work TOO well, and this is a big one. It got stuck in a few different outlets, one of which was my APC UPS backup battery. The only tool that I had was a screwdriver (yes I unplugged it without touching from the socket. The best course of action is to simply remove the ground plug portion (using wire cutters or pliers to twist the post back and forth will do the trick). Just by inserting two prongs, she will remain in the socket very well, since it will stay in place just as well. This is just a word of caution based on my experience, since it is much easier to remove without the ground prong and there will be no issue with the prong getting stuck.
Three plug protectors can be seen in the picture. In the lower left corner, you can see the type I installed on the older G Those were the days when kids were around - The removal of this is very hard. Having folded plugs is one of the factors that attracted me to these To remove the tab, click the out button. When I installed them, I was very disappointed. A picture of the plug-in can be found to the right It's easy to notice how long the ground pole (round pole) In addition to being extremely difficult to install, it is also difficult to With the help of my Dremel tool (as shown), I was able to solve the problem. You can see how I altered the plug in the lower right, by cutting off Now they work nicely, so if you've got a Dremel and are willing to do a bit of tweaking, I recommend them, otherwise don't.
In order to remove them, you have to slide down the bottom and then pull it This is a difficult object to slide down If I am unable to do it, I doubt a baby/toddler would be able to accomplish it (although I am sure some of those little cuties can do things adults cannot! I really like these over the other ones I have used because you can leave the bottom part open (down), making it easier for ME to open while still protecting I can have the option of making the outlets I never use impossible to access, and leaving the outlets I use frequently covered and accessible at the same time. It's because of this reason I have now made these covers one of my favorites. They seem durable, and the quality appears to be good. I had also hoped they would arrive more quickly, which was an additional plus.
It is easy to install and these covers are sturdy. But my son, who is 10 months old, was able to figure out how to remove them. So I gave it 3 stars. There is still time for him to get it out, but it's only a matter of time. They're nice for a quick, temporary outlet cover, but not for areas where your baby can mess with it all the time. For the rooms he plays in most often, I'm going to get the self-closing covers that you screw in.
You've done a great job! I struggled with finding a solution to my 18 mo old (too smart for her own good) who found a way to pop off the standard covers leaving me with absolutely no option but to resort to using screws. Here is evidence. We fit these in and out easily (we can do that) and our genius still finds them challenging.
It's a pleasure to use these new & improved tools Plugs with child safety are easier to install and less likely to damage children than the original version Get rid of. The plugs arrived quickly and were of great quality. It is a fantastic deal that gets you more plugs than you can use. According to the description, they were what they said they were. My recommendation for this seller is to buy from them An item.
As a toddler, I accidentally electrocuted myself when I pulled out the safety plug from a wall socket and put my mother's car keys in there. The woman who is standing right next to me is my mother - The wall plug protectors were so easy to remove from the wall, she had no idea I could do it. With these things, I'm not sure I would have! The plug protectors are difficult to get out of the sockets even with extreme effort by an adult. There is a possibility that you will It's no big deal to me- As a parent myself, I know how determined a child can be, so before choosing these plug protectors, I looked at a lot of other options. In order to remove those, you have to pull out the small handle and then pull firmly. They are the real deal and I am confident that my kid will not be able to move There is no way I would like it to be.
My 16 month old took the spool out of its socket right away. There were no difficulties doing this with these rather than the ones I was supposed to replace.
