In order to remove them, you have to slide down the bottom and then pull it This is a difficult object to slide down If I am unable to do it, I doubt a baby/toddler would be able to accomplish it (although I am sure some of those little cuties can do things adults cannot! I really like these over the other ones I have used because you can leave the bottom part open (down), making it easier for ME to open while still protecting I can have the option of making the outlets I never use impossible to access, and leaving the outlets I use frequently covered and accessible at the same time. It's because of this reason I have now made these covers one of my favorites. They seem durable, and the quality appears to be good. I had also hoped they would arrive more quickly, which was an additional plus.

It is easy to install and these covers are sturdy. But my son, who is 10 months old, was able to figure out how to remove them. So I gave it 3 stars. There is still time for him to get it out, but it's only a matter of time. They're nice for a quick, temporary outlet cover, but not for areas where your baby can mess with it all the time. For the rooms he plays in most often, I'm going to get the self-closing covers that you screw in.

I struggled with finding a solution to my 18 mo old (too smart for her own good) who found a way to pop off the standard covers leaving me with absolutely no option but to resort to using screws. Here is evidence. We fit these in and out easily (we can do that) and our genius still finds them challenging.
