Yes, this tank is used to hold water after it has been drawn from the well and before it is passed through the RO system.

Is it possible to mount this tank in a horizontal position?

I'd recommend looking for tanks that are designed to be used horizontally.

Is the threaded t a part of the package?

Things may have changed since I purchased mine a year or so ago. The threaded tee was left out of the package - However, I am pleased with the tank as a whole and with my purchase to date.

Before I bought the Well Xtroll WX202XL pressure water tank, I did some research. This is a superior product to most other well pressure tanks, in my opinion. I've had it for a month, and while that isn't enough time to give an accurate assessment of the product's long-term performance, I can say that it has performed admirably thus far.

This is a great piece. It's a little bit bigger than the one I took out. Should be able to reduce the number of times my pump cycles. I'm satisfied with the new tank in general.
