Could someone please provide a link to a good how-to for removing and replacing this tank?

If you already have one in place, it's fairly straightforward. They also have a manifold that will hold the pressure switch and gauge, which is 1" MIP and connects to the tank's bottom 90 or elbow. Is it copper, CPVC, PEX, or galvanized iron pipe you're dealing with?

Is it possible to put this Amtrol tank on its side?

In relation to the WX- "Properly supported, the tank will perform just fine in the horizontal position," Raymond Deming, Senior Product Application Specialist from Amtrol, told me on page 102.

Is the bottom of this tank made of hard plastic, stainless steel, or some other metal where the tank tee screws in?

According to a seller in another question/answer, 1" female stainless steel is available.

Is the water connection hole a steel or plastic one?

This tank is an exact replacement for my 32-year-old tank
5/5

This tank was purchased to replace a 32-year-old, failing tank of the same model. There don't seem to be any issues because it appears to be industry standard. It arrived charged at 38 psi, which I reduced to 28 psi to accommodate the 30-minute charge. I installed a total of 50 pressure switches. Take a look at some photos of the completed project.

Pressure tank of excellent quality
4/5

This tank was delivered in excellent condition. For our 12-year-old pressure tank, it was a match made in heaven. All of the fittings were in the right place. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 star rating is because the pressure tank was supposed to be pre-charged at just under 40 psi, according to the instructions. We discovered the tank pressure was around 47 psi, which was higher than they advertised, after having problems with my pressure switch not closing and no water. It was a simple matter of letting some air out of the tank to correct the problem. You can swap pressure tanks with little to no plumbing if you're handy. Teflon tape and pipe wrenches are all you'll need.

On the market, this is the best tank available
5/5

For the past seven years, I've worked as a water well technician. I've used all types of pressure tanks, including those rebranded by Amtrol. All of them are outlasted by the well x troll. The only tank worth purchasing is this one.

A Well X Trol is impossible to go wrong with
5/5

This is what I bought to go on the output side of my radon water system. These Amtrol tanks are among the best, if not the best, available, and are of excellent quality. Made in the United States of America. There isn't much to say about it except that it works well and provides me with some extra capacity before the pump needs to restart. On my well pump, I currently have a lower-quality Well Mate tank, which I will replace with this product when it fails.

Tank in good condition
5/5

Working out nicely (tee he). To work better with the 30-pound tank, I increased the tank pressure to 28. Switch with a pressure of 50. I added a union in line when I installed this tank to make replacement easier in the future, which I hope will not be for many years. By purchasing through Amazon's warehouse, I was able to save some money, and the tank was brand new.

Amtrol WX- is a product I'm happy with
5/5

Amtrol WX- I bought it. I used a 202 Well Pressure Tank to replace a 30-year-old tank, and I set the tank pressure to 28 PSI to accommodate the 30-year-old tank. Pressure switch with a PSI rating of 50. When I installed this tank, I added a union in the line to make future replacements easier. I found it simple to install; it took me two hours and the tank was brand new. My purchase has met my expectations.

I'm replacing a 15-year-old Amtrol pressure tank with a new one because of the reliable quality of this brand
5/5

Although the old tank appears to be in good working order, I wanted to be proactive about getting a new one. We are only 200 feet from the ocean, so the old tank is corroding on the outside due to the salt air. I'm sticking with the same brand because I believe in it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this
5/5

This tank was purchased to replace one that had been previously owned by A. Smith. The original tank failed due to a ruptured diaphragm inside the tank and a build-up of silt, but the new tank has performed admirably thus far. Only time will tell if it will last longer than the last. It came with instructions that said it should be installed by a professional, but I did it myself and it was not difficult at all; I was able to reuse the PVC fittings from the old tank, and it fit perfectly. Because the pressure in my well is higher than the pre-determined standard, I had to add some air to the tank. set to. According to all of the reviews, this is the best tank for the money, and it has proven to be so far.
