Questions & Answers

What is the model number of my richmond water heater ?

I'm Kathy, thanks for dropping by There is a chance that your water heater only needs a vapor sensor to be reset. My guess is that the water heater is controlled by *To flip the on/off switch to OFF, flip the on/off switch over The thermostat knob should be in the LOW position. Remove the plug from the water heater and plug it back in again. To turn the switch ON, simply turn it on. To test the thermostat, turn it back and forth seven times from full HI to full LOW. Hopefully the water heater will now turn on after it has been reset. In the event that this fails, use the search engine to find "RHEEM SP20172 -VAPOR SENSOR" and click on the topic listed under RESET or REPLACE.

Are these instructions going to work on Intelli Vent 7201?

It is true,

I need help with my faulty fv sensor, which displays a 7202, T- The date is 25th of May. What are the chances of it working?

It is highly likely this will happen. You will need to search around for the range of ohms it is supposed to read before it shuts off the gas. If this isn't happening, you could head to the local appliance parts store and buy the one they have there to resolve the problem right away. You make up for the price difference by spending your time searching instead.

Would this work on a Lochinvar lvnl041g because the replacement part is ?

I'm here. My deepest gratitude goes out to you for your note. A database does not exist for If the item has the part number TST1027, the item will work with your system. Whether you have additional questions or not, please feel free to contact us. Thanks for your kind words!

ALL OF YOU WHO DON'T HAVE HOT WATER NEED TO KNOW THIS
5/5

WITH THIS FAST FIX, YOU'LL BE ABLE TO GET YOUR HOT WATER HEATER WORKING! I recommend this to not only those who can't have hot water, but also individuals who want to save money. The sensors are placed on opposite sides of the water in a cereal bowl half-filled with tap water. The connectors are disconnected and arranged on opposite sides of the water. Reduce the temperature of the room. The power switch should be turned off and you should wait 30 seconds before you re-turn it on. Then, turn on the power, and adjust the temperature switch from low to hot 4 times, ending with Once this happens, your heater will start giving you hot water again. About 10 ohms of resistance are present in the sensor During cleaning, the resistance should not exceed 50 kOhms if it has not been exposed to natural gas or splashed with water. As a temporary fix, the most common problem is that people do not have a 30 kOhm resistor at home. You can do this for free, quickly, and easily. The electric current will not electrocute you. When I waited for a replacement, the power supply worked well. A cardiac electrophysiologist, I have been awarded the MD and PhD degrees (the latter two One customer told us that he fooled this safety circuit by using a resistor. The same resistance of a sensor is simulated by tap water. No matter what time it is, this works.

Expertise in the field of technology
5/5

I have updated Apparently, there is a large gap between the specifications and the actual product. A 11k Ohm measured at 80 degrees room temperature, another 20k Ohm measured at 20k Ohm, and a third measured 46k Ohm at 46k Ohm. It seems that 20k is about right based on the specifications. A point of 11k is too low, and since 46k is close to the trigger point of 50k, I had to return this. Ideally, you should measure them first before replacing, otherwise you will likely get another trigger at the same time. There is a function spec for the 25VS thermometer made by Thermodisc/Emerson that says that it trips at 50k Ohms. Specifically, the temperature sensitivity curve in the specifications indicates that it would be tripped at and just below A temperature range of 32 F to 150 F is its operating range. During normal peak temperatures attic temperatures in hot climates like Texas, the sensor may be tripped by just the attic temperature itself. It is a one-button system as described in the function specs A tripped shot sensor needs to be replaced, so once it trips, it probably needs You can measure whether it is still good, however. In the absence of vapors, the resistance should be between 7k and 25k Ohm after it has cooled down. In that case, it might reset if the resistance drops below 45k Ohm, but it may trip again later on. It is important to reset the valve after replacing the sensor This is 1. The power must be turned off to the control. In the case of valves with buttons Replenish the power to the control 3
3. Once the two buttons are pressed until the blinking lights appear, press the following sequence
4. For Honeywell valves with a dial Left, Right, Left, Right, Right, Left, Right, Right . . .

For Honeywell valves with a push-button 3
3. On the GCV, turn it on. Item 4. You need to turn the temperature dial seven times within 30 seconds from one end to the other after turning on the GCV. There is a count of one difference between LOW and VERY HOT. LOW is a count of two when returning to the LOW position. Please take note As the unit tries to start, you may hear a clicking noise. To qualify for the contest, you must meet all seven criteria! Symbols for br>5. You should be able to see the unit operating normally now. This is 6. To adjust the temperature, turn the dial to your.

I find this situation to be very strange
3/5

The Rheem replacement metered at around 20K, so it was under warranty. I measured 12K with the one from Amazon. As soon as the sensor saw the second failure following the reset of the heater, it registered Eight thousand. classic "7 flash" failed as a first attempt I'm not sure if there is a significant difference (if any) between the 2nd and the 3rd. In your standard heater (and I had one before the contractors replaced the vent with a tankless no one here could service), without the power vent feature, you don't have the juice to operate it since I believe Those heaters would not have this 'essential' safety feature anyway since they don't have power vent. It's not nice to hear that When electrically powered It is absurd for a power heater to send you ersatz messages about 'problems' like that. There are too many people out there who live in ignorance with such 'dumb' heaters and are never ordered to stop A brief update The story doesn't end there. condo corporation mulched the flower and shrub beds as part of our HOA program. It is in the garage where we keep our water heater. The FVS was dead as a tent peg 24 hours after being installed, and it was unable to restart. What's the point? In the process of composting mulch, vapors and gases are released. The methane gas is one of these. As a result, The natural gas we use is natural gas. In the seventies Methane makes up over 90% of the atmosphere. You therefore need to be cautious when working around mulch vapors, because they can affect your FVS. I would say that, at the very least, anything that has methane outgassing is suspect Fertilizer to litter boxes, you will find it all here. It may be worth considering other "vapors" as well It has been suggested that exhaust gases from cars in garages can contaminate the sensors (despite the fact that those gases are not Water vapor could be a danger, according to others. Many people are not able to afford to maintain these sensors that are located in water heaters in garages and may not be able to afford the overhead of doing so. You can do a few things to try to remedy this, but the first thing most of us would do is send a complaint to the manufacturer of the unit that includes Some wafers may absorb too much of the contaminant, in which case a sensor cannot detect it. The FVS stays inside the wafer, and the sensor is toast.

It's extremely convenient that a replacement for the FVS is offered here for far less cost than other sources, and are generally of the same quality as original units. There is no fault on the supplier's part here, only in the poorly used technology employed by the water heater manufacturers who were invited to participate. cannot find a way to replace or limit this technological flaw, you may need to keep two of these sensors at all times. The price here is as good as I have found, thus you would need to keep two of these sensors at all times.

Temp controllers from Honeywell can be programmed with a trick
5/5

The water heater I have is a nearly new Rheem tank water heater obtained from Home Depot with a Honeywell thermostat controller (auto ignition, on / off and temperature There was an indicator LED 7 times on the thermostat controller, and the manual indicated either this sensor or the controller itself was faulty. The cost is only $22 instead of $200, so I figured it would be worth a shot. I was able to replace and solve the issue in no time. There is only one trick on Honeywell controllers. You need to power it on and then change the temperature control from coldest to hottest a bunch of times (5 to 10) within 30 seconds to "reset" it. It appears it is undocumented everywhere except on some internet chat rooms, so plumbers must really like it. So that's the trick, I have hot water again and I didn't have to pay a plumber.
