Questions & Answers

Is it appropriate for a Glenn of the Past?

I have no idea

Will it work with SW6DE?

It ought to work.

Is this a direct replacement for the anode 232767 in the suburban sw10d warer heater?

Yes. Everything is the same, except ours has a pre-installed security system. You can avoid using teflon tape by using thread sealant.

Is this compatible with the SW6 PR?

As advertised, this part fits a suburban 6 gallon water heater. This anode is compatible with a wide range of water heaters in the suburbs.

Selected User Reviews For (2pk) Standard RV Water Heater Anode Rod 3/4-in x 9-in with Pre-Applied Thread Sealant, fits Suburban Mor-Flo Atwood & Others, Direct Replacement for 232767 - Magnesium with 1-1/16 Hex Head

Exceptional craftsmanship- but: Last year, I had to get a new one
4/5

I just did a quick check. Along its LONG length, the huge thick anode is barely wasted. However, only about 1/2" of the steel threaded fitting was deeply eroded. I replaced it because I was afraid the rest of the rod would break off and fall into the tank. A shorter rod, in my opinion, is preferable. The next time, I'll halves my replacement.

First and foremost, clean the threads
3/5

The cement in the threads gets a two-star rating. The time it takes to remove the cement from the threads, which takes about 20 minutes in a drill press with a pick and a wire wheel, negates the good price. br>The cement, which is ostensibly pipe dope, is so hard that normal pipe thread installation is impossible "two or three turns past finger tight. " br>WITH 60FT-THREADS, JUST TWO THREADS CAN BE INVOLVED. Torque into CLEAN tank threads with lb torque.

The product is well-made and meets the requirements
5/5

The removal of an anode from an 8-year-old water heater was a pain because the previous owner had never replaced it. Pre-applied tape was appreciated, as it made it easier for the next owner to remove. The quality of the material appears to be excellent. The quality of the manufacturing is excellent. It is highly recommended.

When installing, be cautious to avoid cross-contamination
5/5

Threading is a term used to describe the process of weaving A standard anode socket for a water heater is required (1-). To remove and replace, use a 1/16-inch drive with a 1/2-inch drive. When I put the new one in, I had to be very careful. Begin by hand-threading the threads, then use the socket wrench to complete the job.
