Questions & Answers

Made by Rheem, Richmond is a floor covering. Can this be used for a Richmond 6E50-S ?

The parts I removed from my 12-year-old GE water heater were exactly the same that I removed from my new Rheem water heater (I found that it was a GE). It was time to swap out the old parts and replace them with these. I am now experiencing no problems with the water heater. It is worth noting that these heating elements look exactly the same as similar If it didn't fit just about everything, I don't think they'd stock it.

Does this work if I have an older (17 year old) Whirlpool 50 gallon water heater?

There is no problem with it. If you have an old one, make sure you clean it You can learn how to do it on YouTube. This will give your water heater and heating elements a longer service life.

Rheem Mod# 72v - will these elements fit What is the difference between two water heaters?

It was clear that these elements fit together and functioned

Does this work with a Kenmore 6 watt power miser?

Almost any 4500W electric heater will fit these. I used mine in a 50 year old heater in my cabin and the new element fit and worked fine. I have replaced several heating elements in my cabin over the years but I never considered the brand. During my 45 years of ownership, I owned a number of car washes. I am going to be honest with you --good luck --don't be afraid --Mr.

Investing in this company is outstanding
5/5

I had been waiting for this for a long time. A new water heater would be significantly more expensive than replacing my existing one, and I have been putting off replacing it for a while. The unit is older than 22 years, and not a single leak has occurred since it was installed. I have rained the tank three times in my 22 years here, and it was not a full drain each time. In a Youtube video showing how to replace the heater element, I saw that the element could be easily replaced. I thought that I'd try it when I got My 'wish list' has had an element on it for a very long time, but I recently saw a listing on Amazon for not only both elements but the thermostats as well Therefore, I would have essentially got a new heater for less than $100. In order to evaluate the inside of the tank, the elements would need to be removed. there was a lot of mineral build-up, I would know that this repair was only band-aid. A friend who owns a plumbing company warned me that the element might be seized and hard to remove, and that there was a possibility it would rip the threads. My counsel was to let it go until it finally stopped working and then replace it with a new, more energy-efficient model if it still worked. As far as I could tell, I followed all the To begin with, I would have to replace the thermostats. Next, I would have to replace the bottom cooling element because the top will spill over onto the bottom work surface. Even with fairly heavy effort neither part would come loose. There is a rubber 'o' ring between the threads and the tank so there was no possibility of it being seized, it must just After soaking the threaded area on both elements with PB Blaster for a half hour, I went back to it. Both the tool I had bought and one I had recommended did not move When the tool's collar was continuously slipping on the element, it would not be able to stay on. A second soak with PB Blaster followed and another 30 minutes later. My tool box then contained a half inch drive breaker bar, so I got it out. It was actually a metric socket, but I do not remember its size. So, I added the new element to my container of heavy-duty truck sockets and found the one that fit the best. brought this to the heater and I saw it come loose slowly and smoothly with much less effort than when I tried to remove a wheel nut. Afterwards, I moved on to a different one and the same thing happened There was no restriction on their movement. They were backed out approximately a turn, I sprayed more PB on them, and then I tightened them. Once I had waited awhile and then tightened up, I was able to hear my mother crying. Take it easy- By using a tighten loosen motion I got the wires about halfway out without any effort. Then I changed back to my lighter tool and finished the quick change. It took me just a couple of minutes to remove the old one and replace it. After starting by hand, I tightened it up with my bar with a tool. It was clear from the instructions on how to fill the heater and turn it back on how to do this. After testing it for about 45 minutes, it worked perfectly as if it were brand Hence, I now have warm water for 33 dollars and a few hours of cooperation. Both the product and the company have been very satisfying to me. You need to take your time and examine the how-tos You will need to download the.

I received the wrong components from Amazon and there was no refund
3/5

This kit should not be purchased from Amazon, as the manufacturers do not guarantee it. In this package, the wrong components are included. The following is an update for March 20, 2020 It has been two weeks since Amazon issued a refund. My next purchase will not be on Amazon. It appears that there is an inaccuracy in the 4/12/2020 update As of right now, I haven't received a refund from Amazon, nor have I been able to get in touch Although, we're not opposed to taking your money. I have updated the 4/17/2020 report as follows I now have to fight Amazon to get the right amount refunded for the $35 part! This is a ridiculous refund at best and now I have to fight to get it. I'm very happy with Amazon's performance. It's a disaster when it comes to customer service.

This direct replacement and freat price met my needs for a water heater that didn't generate enough hot water from my 12-year-old Rheem
5/5

spoke with my neighbor who works as a plumber, and he mentioned that the water is usually one of the elements that wears out over time. While I am replacing both, he suggested I replace both at the same time. It sounded like a good idea to include both elements and thermostats in the kit. if I replace it that way, I will be replacing any parts that could cause the issue because this is electrical and electrical components can go out at any time. Good instructions on the back. The " Camco 5" Residential Screwdriver, which I purchased with the wrench, was also purchased A wrench to remove an element from a water heater It also quite a bit cheaper than "Fits All Standard Screw In Elements (09883)", and I highly recommend it. Using it will allow you to get rid of the elements. Like I did, you may need a little penetrating oil on the threads, but it's not a problem. Although the package does not state Rheem, the new parts are a perfect match for the old ones. That has also happened with other brands of appliances in the past. And the part number is the same as what Rheem lists.

If you must open the package, do so gently

The first thing is to mark your old and new thermostats it is nearly impossible to identify old from new. When I got stalled with this idea, I put the same one back in. Fortunately, I had taken pictures of the parts I took apart and noticed the raised lettering. This is 1. Taking pictures of your wiring is a good idea. . * *2. A clip is used to secure the thermostats. 1. 2. 3. Keep the screws for the elements from being too tight. Item 4. I'm capable of telling another reviewer did this to them and I'm sure that's why they leaked, so don't force them out by force. Symbols for br>5. Using a fingernail brush, I found that it was easy to clean my threads. I used a 1" socket on mine, and I didn't use any gasket sealant, just the gasket that came with the kit. As the bag was being filled, I tightened it again and kept the cover off to look for leaks. If you refill by opening your safety valve, you will be able to release trapped air from the system. I have included my old units in the pictures. In the days when the hot water tank was "cooking," I could hear a popping sound similar to an electric kettle, but after the new units were installed, I just heard a buzz. If yours are cracked, a new set is probably in order. Please accept this as a helpful reply.

The SP20060 water heater from Rheem is newly tuned This kit will get you up and running
5/5

In fact, this kit saved me from having to replace my old 58 gallon water heater which would have cost me $500 or more. The water in my tub went from warm to cold, and after doing some digging around and asking a family member for help, I was told that I should replace the heating element. I decided that the thermostat should be replaced with it since I was replacing that. My personal favorite was the thermostat because it wasn't a huge hassle to spray water throughout the house. I was having a tough time with the heating element (as the plumbing was off) and I managed to fill up my garage with a lot My heater element wrench made a world of difference, so I recommend buying it. If you don't want to damage your thermostat, this is something you should consider. Powered devices need to be connected to power sources, and the tank must be able to be filled up again with no leaks visible. Then turn on the water heater power once you have filled all the faucets in the house with hot water for three minutes. Release ALL the air from the water heater, and once you start getting water, turn on all the faucets in the house on hot for about three minutes. As soon as I installed this kit, I had hot water within an hour. When you use a stainless heating element, expect some hot water to take a while to come.
