Questions & Answers

My state select model number is GS650YOCTG. Will this work?

State select is a brand I use for my cars, so yes, it is compatible. I didn't purchase My water heater is probably 11 or 12 years old, so I should be able to use it on any state select.

How would this work with a Reliance 606 model 650YORT?

Besides the serial number of your water heater, we will need the model number In the event you provide that information, we may be able to further help you. Thanks for your kind words!

Do you have a model #gs650ybrtw serial # A07j030110 to fit this?

This is product I've purchased twice in about 6 years and have had great success using it. As for my grade, I've got an It's smith pro max for you. This is the GCV 40 100 module number. Despite the fact that this particular model is from 2007, it still worked well. I bought it because it looked just like the original and it did. The only thing I can suggest is to try it if it looks exactly like the one you have. You will save a lot of money by doing this instead of replacing the whole unit.

I used it on my fourteen year old water heater and it worked! We haven't had to maintain our water heater at any point during its lifetime (I know you are supposed to do regular maintenance annually, but we aren't one of those households)
5/5

had problems with our water heater not staying lit for the past year, where it's become a lot more common for us to have to reset it After it had grown to such an extent that it could not provide hot water for long, it had simply ceased working. As a result of taking cold showers for a week and boiling water to do the dishes, we took the chance of ordering this part instead of spending $1-$2. It will cost $2k for someone to come out and It's not that I'm a handy person around the house, but during this epidemic, spending a couple grand was something I did not want to do at this point. In the end, I felt comfortable doing the replacement by myself after watching several YouTube videos and learning how I was watching a YouTube video while my girlfriend stood just feet away, saying things like, "Stop, you need a professional!" Whenever she saw me working, she worried and said, "Stop, we need a professional!" ", to which I eventually replied, "OK. ". You're going to pay for that, right? There are crickets. She went and got the paper instructions in the box to ensure the steps we're taking in the video align with what is written. I followed along in the video after she retrieved the instructions. 'These steps should only be conducted by a licensed professional and not by an untrained or inexperienced person', she reads loudly. When I saw her, I stopped her and said, "I know. ". My understanding is that. Yes, you are right, and I don't disagree with you, but do you want hot water now I can see that she has finally turned a corner now - Since now she is pulling up other YouTube videos with better camera angles so we can follow along with them, I'm on board with the idea. Our pilot assembly replacement took about an hour, but that also includes the time it took for the mechanic to remove and install it. It was a process of preparing (finding the right tools, exchanging information, etc. ). It is the flame that re-emerges It is easier to light with one click than with 15 clicks There is a 20% increase from what it takes normally. As of the date of this review, we've only been using hot water for a day, but that doesn't change the fact that we're happy with it. It's my hope that this will help us to prolong the life of our water heater by another 6-12 months I would recommend waiting at least for 12 months (if not longer) or until the COVID-induced instability is resolved Currently, 19 people have recovered from their injuries. The model number of the State branded water heater I have is GS650HBRT, which was built in 2006.

After installation, this program works
4/5

My water heater has a States pilot light, and when it wouldn't stay lit, I bought a thermocouple at a local store who thought I'd just replace it and I would be fine. Despite this, I wasn't aware that the States thermocouple unit is different and that it has a capacitor attached to it. Therefore, I went online and found this unit and was able to replace the whole unit, including the pilot and so on. I'm a mom, so I just watched a couple YouTube videos and I was able to do the whole thing I would recommend watching the videos ahead of time since instructions were not as clear if you didn't watch them beforehand. The videos were very helpful especially when checking that everything is connected correctly to prevent any gas leakages. To date, it has worked well, and the pilot switched on when I needed it. I now have continuous hot water, so I am very satisfied. In addition, I saved myself a lot of money by not having to hire a technician to.

Lacking quality control, it is a cheap replacement
3/5

The A purchased this for me. A hot water heater from O Smith. A lack of building quality can sometimes be a problem. It happens to sometimes when I open packages of thermo sensors that the solder has come unsoldered. Additionally, my hot water heater thermocouples only seem to last about one year, so it could be that I have some other issue with my water heater, but every time I replace them with new ones, the water heater starts working again.

Suitable for use with state select water heaters
5/5

During the builders' build of our 2006 home, we went with a state select water heater. We had a great experience with it. It was proving problematic with the original unit as it wouldn't spark or ignite. It may have been the thematic couple or the transistor on the original unit causing the igniter to malfunction. All of that was replaced by this unit, so it is I think it is better than having an HVAC technician come out and charge you 350 dollars or try to sell you a new one for 900 dollars.

I would recommend it as a Our water heater's pilot and Thermopylae needed to be replaced, and I found this to be just what I needed
5/5

It's pretty straightforward to take the old one out, put the new one in, then plug it in and We only encountered difficulty with the task since the water heater was poorly designed. It was no problem, though. It was great that the delivery was so quick. That is something I highly recommend.

Despite working for only a short period of time
3/5

On 9-09, I received your email Installation of the new 2019 occurred a day after installation of the previous 2019 Despite the new year and new pilot, they keep flying. The product is neither covered by a warranty nor has it lasted as long as it should. The problem has to be solved with a replacement and a reinstallation.

The valve is for the RELIANCE WATER HEATER CO 9006655005 Natural Gas Control
5/5

I used this part to repair a "RELIANCE WATER HEATER CO 9006655005 Natural Gas Control" and I got my house back up and running quickly. With only a screwdriver and an adjustable wrench you can install it in no time at all. I just had to turn a wrench, tighten two screws, and my pilot light is up and running again!.
