Product Description

Magnesium anodes are able to provide more electrochemically negative content so that your tank does not dissolve at a reasonable cost. In the event that you do have smelling water problems, it's the best choice for a replacement.
Four parts hinged together make up an anode rod that is 44 inches long. Since each part is less than 12 inches, it is easy to replace the anode rods even if space is limited. By simply hacksawing it shorter, it will be safely cut.
KIT OF MAGNESIUM ANODE RODS - Unlike plastic rods, where corrosion is bound to occur, replacing a water rod will extend the service life of your water heater. Anode Rod, Teflon Sealing Tape and 1-1/16" chrome finished socket are all included in one box, so you don't have to go out and buy them separately.
Compatible with almost all water heaters, including models A and B. There are many brands including Smith, Rhem, Reliance, Richmond, Kenmore, State, GE, and many more that use the standard 34" NPT anode rod connection.
Easy replacement of anodes - Anodes can be easily replaced and need to be replaced regularly. The only function of these bacteria is to decay your water heater, and that is exactly what they are going to In the event of full decay, the anode rod will be depleted, and then the heater will begin to rust, then crack, and then The anode rod on your water heater should be inspected and replaced every two years to ensure that it is reliable and you won't have to worry about it!

The length of each individual rod (excluding the wire) is exactly how long is the rod itself?

The following information is for the ASIN of the 44-inch flexible magnesium anode rod Sections of rod including threaded plugs extending upwards from the top The following sections apply to section 1/4 of an inch *br>section 2) 11 5" x 7/16 inches *br>section 3) 11-1/2" The section 4) 6-inch section has a 7/16-inch width There is a 1-inch gap at the bottom of the 7/8-inch line A fraction of an inch to a whole inch There is a distance of 3/16 inch between each cable. A rod diameter of 3/4 inches is used in this application.

Is it necessary to cover the anode with Teflon tape if it is in contact with the tank electrically?

It's not that I fill the gaps, it's that I fill them. To make sure it does not connect in that way, I measured it.

I kindly ask you not to reply to my messages. An agent. This can be used with the Rheem 42VR40-S 40 degrees Fahrenheit?

Don't buy this product. After a few weeks it returns with a bad smell.

Do you know where the product is is the actual length of each anode (including the wires What is the distance between) How many anode links are there?

Although I am not sure where it was manufactured, I only know that it didn't Three weeks had passed when the smell returned.

Your water heaters will last longer if you save them
4/5

My old house had a water heater that had been installed recently a few years before I purchased it. I began hearing noises coming from the water heater a few months later. The water seemed to take a very long time to heat up and the water in the tank was getting louder, so I was frequently draining the water in the first year since I moved in. There was also a rotten egg smell from the faucets when I used them or washed them.
Accordingly, decided to research the problem and found that the anode rod in the tank was completely corroded leaving a rusted metal rod behind. After discovering that the tank had calcium at the bottom, we did some cleaning for it. There was no improvement after draining all of the water, as the drain valve was too small, preventing the calcium chunks that had accumulated at the bottom of the tank from draining properly. In order to eliminate the completely removed calcium deposits from the water heater, I bought and installed a new anode rod, and what a difference that made in eliminating the rotten egg smell and extending its life. As a result, every two years I will check the anode rod for failure and replace it if necessary. In these situations, water heaters fail because there is no anode rod replacement, also known as the sacrificial element of the water heater. The anode rod was meant to protect the tank from corrosion when hard water and sediment settle on top and not draining the tank properly. After installing the product for 6 months, I pulled out the rod, and it was half gone. There was still some aluminum and zinc on the rod, but since the water in my area is hard, I might have to replace the anode every six months instead of every In general, a good product I would recommend if you plan on replacing the anode rod and don't have a tank that is close to failing.

It is necessary to replace every 4 years (I learned this Built in 2007, my home was built with energy efficiency in mind

2016, the original liquid propane 40-year tank was replaced by a new tank Water leaked out of the gallon heater because it rusted through. Kenmore 50-pound washer - I replaced it with the 2016 model This is a model number for a gallon tall LP heater I started to see brownish-tinged water in my tub about five years after purchasing it It is greenish in When it came time to replace the water drain valve and anode rod, I decided on a brass one that lets 3 gallons per minute run through The original Plasti valve is capable of handling three times as much water when fully open. I have some words of wisdom to share br>
1) Replace the rod every four You can use a hammer on the end of the wrench lever if you don't have an impact wrench. 2) Install a brass water drain valve (just like the ones you would use on your garden hose) in order to improve water flow so that proper draining and flushing can take place since disintegrated rod deby can partially block the 3) It may not be possible to remove the original rod due to a lack of clearance. Fortunately, my OEM rod's support wire was 30" long, so it can be broken below this mark that isn't 30". If the old rod is entangled in the wire, you can bend it to remove it. The following is a quote I used "
4) An adapter for 1/2 inch square goes inside the bit that comes with the new rod (none of my friends had that huge 27mm bit). I then attached the long wrench to the bit with a 1/2-inch square adapter. In the 5) category you can choose from lots of rod kinds and materials as long as the bolt on top of the OEM rod is 27mm or 1 1/4 inches. In this situation, Sears does not reveal what the OEM rod is made of. Just look at the picture of the OEM anode rod [or what's left of it] and unless you are a chemist, you wouldn't know anything. 1) Drain water once a year. 2) Keep it dry. If you live in a drought zone like I do, September is the best time to leave. It is necessary to use it to avoid seeing the trees After the inlet water is running, drain the tank until all dirty water has been removed. 7) Unless you talk to your neighbors who have tank heaters that use the same water you do, you will not know what your rod may look like at the time. Replace it every 4 years and don't gamble on this one because it will rust sooner rather than later. Since I get my water from Yosemite, I can't detect any minerals in it. It is fairly clean and drinkable. And yet, it killed that rod you can see in the picture within a mere five years.
8) Do NOT use temperature-controlled products. The pressure release valve should be used when draining water. It is better to open hot water faucets in the house instead (you open the TP valve and oh no, it does not close afterwards. Having started this can of worms, you've just opened yourself up to a whole world of problems). Only the TP valve is to be used during emergency situations. 9) Think twice before you say, "I'll just shell out some cash for a tankless water heater!" I don't get it! What's going on with these people. This is a question that no one can answer. Unless you live in a strange, poorly managed place like I do (California is the name of the place), you don't depend on suffering through power outages all the time. Most of the time I get them about once a month or more, sometimes for several days at a time. Please ask your elected representatives to fly a kite and celebrate 50 years of Independence The power goes out [again], so we have to turn on our gallon water heater. The good old tank heater will still function as usual so there will be no need to connect electricity to spark the gas. When your buddies who have tankless heaters knock on your door, they will ask if they can take a shower at your place where electricity is not necessary to ignite the gas. If you think your friends deserve a $10 shower, you should do the following before charging them Tell them not to vote for needless politicians who only take care of themselves knowing you will Let me sum up by saying this Taking care of its rod every four months is vital to a tank heater which requires watering trees once a year. This is nothing to be afraid of! Let the hot water fill your [fill in the blank] to the brim!.

I really like the sale price, and it's convenient to install once you take the old one out
4/5

The item arrived fast and was the right size and type for my AO Smith 50 gallon heater. The socket included was also the right size and worked fine with it. I am satisfied with the quality and strength of the socket. It was a bonus to find teflon tape included. I found that removing the old anode was the most challenging part of the repair. The one I had was 15 years old and needed a 6 foot breaker bar to free it. After soaking the nut in oil for a week, I put the nut in a bottle and bottled it. Be sure to wipe it clean before removing it. With the segmented sections, the replacement anodes were easy to install as I had a space clearance of less than 3 feet. A 1/2" driver is needed to open the socket. My tools all fit a 3/8" socket, so I bought a 5 dollar adapter from Home Depot that fits a 3/8" to 1/2" socket. I used 30 which worked perfectly. I am pleased with the product overall. There were no instructions included with the package and I had to look them up on the Internet. As a result, one star has been reduced.

STOP AND THINK ABOUT IT

I did not find installation to be easy, but it was not difficult. A total of TWO anode rods needed to be replaced in four of our four batteries The month of An older person, 40 years old The gallon was under a gallon Here's the review There is a short tank in the house. Since we didn't realize it had two anodes in it, we replaced one of them, then ordered another one, and did the same at the same time. A socket as well as Teflon tape are included in the kit, which is very nice. . . . The smell almost went away immediately after installation of the first rod, but it did not remain. (We suspect it has to do with the aluminum in this rod (but we are not certain). Our water comes from the well so it might work for anyone on municipal water but if you have well water, all hope is lost. Now I'm thinking about the powered titanium rod. It's a lot more expensive, but we don't care, we just want to see our beautiful water again!.
