The 5/8"OD's I purchased are both the same. Nominal diameter 1/2". A COMP valve with an outside diameter of 3/8". My first impression was that the handle was made of plastic with chrome plating. Almost felt like plastic and had that plastic look to it. In order to do so, I removed the handle. I finally replaced that dreaded corrugated steel flex line that always felt like it was going to break whenever I disturbed it. As it turns out, it finally worked while replacing the flush valve this time. Was grateful to have this valve and some new stainless steel tank line supply (which worked without leaking using the old press fit ferrule and nut on the copper pipe, but wasn't sure if it was a good idea to not use the supplied ferrule and nut). Unlike standard replacements, this product does not solve the problem. It's deceiving to look at the picture. In the picture I see two different configurations of the valve, and I bought it in hopes that it would fix my problem, but that did not happen. In the end, I refused to return it since I didn't want to deal with the hassle of returning it.
