Questions & Answers

Are you able to use this as a toilet or sink shut-off valve? Plastic handles seem to break all the time. ?

My experience has been good so far. There is no breaking down of handles. I considered it to be a great valve and well worth the price.

Is this a complete stop to the flow of water? How come there is no ?

In short, yes. As far as I can tell, I am still dripping water from the shower head since When the valve closes, the water will be completely turned off.

Is it okay for this to be set to allow a trickle of water?

You can set the flow to any one you want from full to - Moving on to the full-length version It is just a trickle at this point.

Do you think this will fit the 1/2" plastic water lines near the RV water ?

In any fitting that is 1/2 inch, it should fit. During my shower, I control or shut off the water flow by my valve. Saves water by reducing your water consumption.

FLOW OF FULL WATER NEITHER REDUCES IT NOR IMPROVES IT! There were a lot of shower curtain options, but none of them were cheap There is no reduction in water flow at all from that
5/5

Another company told me that water flow was not reduced when I purchased two other types It's all wrong. In the photo above, you can see that the open ball valve does not interfere with anything at all! The handle can be turned to maximize flow or to decrease flow depending on the desired pressure. * Note * If the description states that the water must be shut off at the valve, turn it off now. There are five balls in this bag There is no way to keep water from leaking through a valve forever. after seven days with full water pressure, I had to take it out It drips and does not drip. Despite what the manufacturer says, this is an even better product than what they claimed. A right turn is made No way to guess at how it works, because it's tricky to shut off.

This is the end of the leak! The purpose of this purchase was to stop an annoying slow drip from the hand-held shower head when the faucet is After replacing the faucet and trying to fix the leak for a while, the drip continued
5/5

In our question to a plumber, he replied that they would have to make a hole in the wall to access the pipes and that they would charge an outrageous amount. I thought maybe a shut-off valve would be a good idea since the drip was not very strong This could be stopped by shutting off the valve. Our solution was to install it between the pipe and the shower fixture with plumber's tape to ensure a good seal. We are happy with the result! Another thing I was concerned about is that it does not reduce the flow when fully opened.

I really like it! It was necessary for use with my rain shower head because it is a rain-capable model There is a shower head with a capacity of 1 gal and actually uses over 2 gal
4/5

I don't want to sound rude - this is an awesome thing, but I always felt guilty watching all that water go down the drain, more than was possibly needed. Rather than spending money on a new shower head (an option my wife would prohibit), I thought I'd try this instead. I found it to be perfectly functional. There is nothing I love more than how it allows 100% flow, the guilt flowing down the drain without restriction while 0% flow is also permitted. Even though I take a shower at about half the pressure, if you want to throw caution and guilt to the wind, just whack it up and within minutes you will have 2 gallons of water warmed by the digging up of fossilized dinosaurs washing you down.

An incorrect thread size was found in a male thread
3/5

This valve first caught my eye when I saw it and felt it. I was very pleased with the machining and finish, as well as the precise and smooth action of the ball valve. The shower head of the shower I purchased would not fit on the male holes when I tried to install it. As a result of measuring, the TPI was the correct 14 TPI, the major and minor diameters of the female side were right, but the male side was the opposite. There is too much space in the 015. There was nothing wrong with the CNC machine itself. Instead, it was programmed incorrectly, perhaps in mm, and ran a batch of odd I did have to turn the threads on a lathe to get them to the proper dimensions, but I was able to get it working with the TPI. It does not seem to have been a build-up As I had to remove a lot of brass to get it right, I plated it up in chrome. Although I still like the valve, you have to make up your own mind as to how much effort you will spend on.

This shut off valve is of high quality
5/5

These reviews seem to be talking about something that doesn't make any sense to me. For the past few weeks, I have been seeking something to go up above the shower head that will turn off the water. You can bet I am interested in reading through all the reviews regarding anything. I think this one does it for me. As a water department employee for 36 years, I know how to properly install fittings and pipe. I can tell you that this shutoff cuts the water completely! A standard shower head with a swivel ball fitting that I got from Home Depot works for me. To install this swivel ball fitting, I taped the male end of the shower gooseneck with Teflon tape, then I installed the valve, then I taped the male end with Teflon tape. There are no problems at all. The water pressure was the same as without the water, so I turned it on. I was able to shut off the water very easily, as the handle moved smoothly. You will not see any A leak does not exist. In my opinion, my teenage daughter could put this together in fifteen minutes or so I had no problems during those 30 minutes! There was a lot of care taken in making this shut off valve. I feel like it is made very well because it feels heavy. I’m not sure how much plastic there was except perhaps the handle and the ball that shuts off inside. When open, it is just a straight hole that you could see through. If you want no drips, no errors, same pressure as before, and a complete shutoff of water then this is the product for you.

I think it's of excellent quality and works well
5/5

Interestingly, most people buy these to stop leaky showers, but one of the uses I have is to save water while lathering or shaving by adjusting the water easily while in the shower. In looking at several different options, I decided to go with this one since there is a ball valve, preventing possible restriction caused by a disc valve. The program has worked well for me so far since I only installed it today. It turns off the entire flow of water, does not contribute any visible restriction when it's completely open and can be used to reduce it to any point in between, as other users have noted. As it is heavy and appears to be well made, there is no question this is solid metal and so shouldn't be an issue in terms of durability. In any case, if anything changes, I'll try to A common problem on products like this is the use of non-stainless screws, so it will be interesting to see if the one you are using to mount the handle corrodes over time. In regards to the handle, my biggest concern was how easily it would turn, and I'm happy to say that it turns very smoothly and with ease, although not so easily with a slight bump or on its own. As of now, the only concern I have about it is that the handle cannot be mounted in the other direction. Depending on how open or closed it is, in my configuration, the handle points anywhere from toward the shower head to the ceiling. Check out the pictures to see how it looks. As for the direction, I'd prefer it to point away from the shower head or downward, since it would be slightly more ergonomic, but this is a very minor point. A model with a side-to-side view would be ideal for me In my search, I wasn't able to find an adjustment knob that could turn the ball like the disc valve, so I realized that it probably can't be done, as such a knob would be unable To make sure I don't turn the wrong knob while I can't open my eyes, I just need to understand how to tell this handle from the extension arm's tightening knob above it. I purchased two items to go with this shower head, which you can see in the pictures, which are the HammerHead all metal shower head and the WaterPoint 11+ inch extension arm. The quality of both of those seems to be great Mill-Teflon tape is the kind I used The Rose 70885 Blue Monster PTFE 1/2" tape is made of polypropylene. There is 1-inch tape, if there is one, which is better for controlling how much shows after the tape is cut off, but the excess can also be simply cut off with a knife, as I did on some of the connections, but not all.
