There were separate boxes for each valve, with each part in its own compartment. Each of these has a metal ball valve and can be operated with a quarter-turn. Valve styles that utilize ball valves should last much longer than the old-fashioned valves that rely on compressed washers to shut off the water. As a result, I decided to change out all the shutoff valves at all the plumbing fixtures in my house along with the old supply lines because they were mostly frozen. As I have a few more than I need for my house, I'm updating some of the valves at my in-laws' The house of law is also nearby. There were less than half the costs per item for these, and they worked just as well as the ones at the local home center. A superior tool compression ring puller was used to remove the existing compression rings. Whenever I install a new ring, I apply a little ptfe pipe dope on the bare copper pipe before sliding the piece on, and I apply a little more on top. I rarely have leaks without the ptfe sealant, but I never do when I have it on hand.
In most cases, I am required to turn off the water while I perform plumbing There is an issue with shut-off valves in older houses because most shut off valves are screw-in valves and over time, they seem to freeze. It is a breeze to replace old valves when you have the new 1/4 turn valves available. A few weeks ago, I replaced two and did not experience any leaks. Since they are half the price of those I pick up at larger hardware stores, I will definitely purchase them again. The purchase was a good one!.
Some of my homes are single family homes that I own and rent. As soon as I do a refresh or renovation, I make sure to replace the old multi-mode equipment The stop valves under sinks and toilets should be turned off as they often fail to shut off after 20 years of inactivity. These have not caused any issues for me.
I found this product to be very easy to use and a great value. The new handle style is much easier to use than the old one.
Having a 1/4-inch cast port, this valve is of good quality You can turn the handle. Big box stores tend to be about half the price of smaller ones.
Each valve was smooth and solid in its turn action. We have not yet installed any of them, they are being replaced as needed.
It will never happen In the end, four of these were good, and six were not. One of them began to leak from the handle stem as soon as it was put in. The next thing I had to do was replace them since this type doesn't have a bonnet nut to tighten. Additional work I wasn't supposed to do! It has given me no problems to install hundreds of Brasscraft cutoffs. These seem interesting. I will give them a try. When your products are defective, it doesn't matter how well they look or are packaged.
