My husband and I have installed three of these valve sets in the past It will be easy to do this task if you are installing your own counter and can install your valves before putting the counter in place. We were not able to do that since our granite installers were installing counters, so we had to cram ourselves inside the vanity and work from underneath, which was not easy for a novice. Instructions are usually presented in the form of pictures, which drives me a little bonkers. In order to make the pictures more understandable, I would like to have more words. In trying to find You Tube videos, I was having problems finding the proper valves, but I finally discovered that Moen had some excellent installation videos on their own website if you searched for the widespread valve set there. If you're new to this, be sure to watch the video before you get started. It helps clarify the steps really well. Putting a link on the product page of Moen or Amazon would be really helpful to provide a link to the online video at the beginning of the instructions. The valve sets we used in our projects proved very sturdy and worked properly with the Moen Voss and Moen Eva faucets.
Moen has been the system of choice for two DIY bathroom projects and I couldn't imagine how much easier it would be to use The design is friendly. In a second installation, a ridiculously small Kohler sink was installed (see picture). It shouldn't be a surprise that I don't like When I'm done with it, it always leaks. As a result, you won't be able to make any errors. There are no leaks in the connections and they click together easily. No corners have been cut in the manufacturing process, and the materials are exceptional quality. Moreover, it is nice to know that you can switch to a different Moen faucet later on by unclicking the old one and placing the new one. This MOEN system may be a good alternative if you are hesitant about doing this project. You should definitely give it a try. As for the MOEN faucets, they are also excellent.
This review has no incentive to be written other than finding quality products is hard, and reviews are not helpful, or only focus on price. We installed the first Moen 9000 rough in kit with a Moen Gibson T1642 trim kit about 14 months ago, and it has been flawless since. We chose the rough in route rather than a prefab route because we were installing it on a single granite bonded undermount sink and it had to fit into very tight quarters Unit has been assembled. Although we were worried about space, it turned out to be far more simple to install this Moen 9000 rough in kit than anything else we've done for retrofit installations before. These trim kits are so simple to install they can be done by anyone. As a homeowner, we bought the T6142 trim kit in order to replace the leaky master bath faucet because it closely resembled the leaky faucet and was close to the guest bathroom faucets that were already there when we bought the house, a 1916 craftsman restored in 1932. In general, the faucets were almost brand new since they were replaced about a month before buying. After we purchased the house, the first guest sink went bad 9 months after we had moved in. We turned that off. I noticed that the other sinks' valves had become "sloppy" and had begun leaking. The existing valves were found to be junk compared with the Moen system after being removed and inspected. In fact, that home warranty plan would've added in complete junk replacements with a $65 deductible. We all tried to fix it, but alas, even free junk is As it is, we recently chose to buy two more Moen rough and trim kits since the install was much more tight - barely enough room for a hand, and we had to have it Additionally, these are the smoothest-operating faucets I have ever seen in a home that costs a multimillion dollar fortune. They are durable, and they are the most substantial lavatory faucets I've found, including multimillion dollar houses. Unlike most other reviews, I don't write many, but this is a well-engineered, quality product. It makes me smile each time I turn on the water, who knew I'm a faucet geek?.
The design is fast and easy, and the valve is excellent. In terms of joining the hot/cold, the quick connects are excellent, however, you have to install the "mixed" water quick connect in order to avoid having the connections interfere with the lift valve rod (no big deal, but I had to install them twice). There was quite a bit of frustration as well because I found that even if you tighten the nuts, the retainer holding the hot and cold valves simply pops off. As a result, I don't have really well-secured faucets, but rather faucets that are somewhat protected. There should have been a better outside retainer or a slightly deeper groove on the valve body instead of only offering a star.
It's important to remember the roughs This is in the The part about the faucet change that is mentioned in reviews is something I learned. Here is a rough translation of it I purchased the Moen T6142 Gibson Two-Handled Shower Kit, along with the Moen T6142 Bathroom Faucet with a Wide Arc Handle - The T6142, 1 Chrome document was successfully processed. If you are using M-compatible trim kit, ensure that it takes advantage of M This technology is called PACT. The build and fit of this kit were of excellent quality and true to the description. In relation to the recent faucet / rough-in we had A pop-up valve / valve kit is included On my exchange, I chose MOEN and Delta (for pop-up e-mails only) As an example). My plumber told me it is usually a good idea to use the big 3 (Moen, Delta, Kohler). The modern looks of some of the faucets completely blew me away. Nevertheless, what you're paying for is what you're getting. The system seems to be working well so far.
You need more than that. After ordering the faucet set, I realized that the hardware to attach the faucet to the sink was also required, so I ordered that as well. This hardware does not have connections to the water source, so you will have to purchase it from Home Depot/Lowe's in order to use it. The question is what do you actually need if you can figure it out. Despite many pictures, the instructions are vague and hard to understand since there is little text. There is a leak due to the way everything was installed, so we need to take it all apart again to determine where it I hate you.
