It was a job well done
4/5

If you want to keep your old one, build a new one. The old one was made of copper and brass and fitted fine. There are hints of chromed steel or stainless steel on this item. It was hard to turn the old unit so I replaced it with this. The old unit was soaked in vinegar overnight and disassembled, soaking parts in vinegar again to remove calcium deposits. A pool lube was applied and it was re-filled Finished assembling. You can leave it on if you like Next time it gets tough to turn, replace it with one that is easier Take the bow off and clip off the clip to rebuild Put the top through the base, cut the stopper from the top, pull the washer off the bottom, and tie it up with a string. As others have suggested, it does not matter which side you buy, but unless you have extra time it is cheaper to just buy a brand new one next time. When replacing, use Teflon tape to make it easier to remove next time. It's only a matter of just a little bow that makes hot and cold different The top is held together with a clip that holds the tie stopper in place. Turn the stopper 90 degrees if you want to swap it. Just pull the clip and rotate the stopper. Here is a picture of the old clip and stopper as a rebuild.

Wall mount faucet kit with a hot and cold 3 way valve
5/5

The following notes are important COLD is the right hand side, and its part number is KOHLER GP77006 RP-132. A cold day. A $12 bill. The 650*HOT can be found on the left hand side. The part number for this is GP77005 RP-KOHLER. This is hot. A dollar bill. On AMAZON Prime, the picture shows only a "shiny glare" on the parts the Chrome finish is just a shiny polish. I used a hot & cold compression device for these two tasks I don't want to replace my Kohler 2 Faucet Wall Mount Roman Jacuzzi Tub from 1998, it's old and cold. This KOHLER brass valve does not have the red plastic or the blue plastic to indicate hot or cold It's cold outside. These part numbers let you know which parts are hot and which parts are not It's cold outside. This is the hot valve. Please be aware the cold brass valve has a plumbers blue dye on the top, but because it is on brass it appears to be "Red. " Don't be misled by that this is the cold brass I measured twice, and I found that the height is the same as what I expected One cut is all you need. Please accept my sincere thanks to Amazon Prime and you OEM parts are produced by Kohler.
The plumber who bid on this job was licensed and bid In the labor and employment sector The service call is $50 plus the travel expenses. There is a value of almost $300 in KOHLER GP parts. It cost me $20 to do the work myself, including the parts I got from Amazon. I would like to thank Amazon Prime.

Power can help you remove the old one if it is too hard to remove
5/5

I love the quality of the valve and the fit is perfect. In any case, it can be hard, if not impossible, to remove the old ones with conventional There is no way to prevent the valve body from rotating and it's possible to break feed lines and other parts due to this. In several forums and discussion pieces, I have seen the recommendation to remove the entire valve from the cabinet. Because I didn't want to do that, I pulled out my DeWalt 20V impact gun and its We grabbed the threaded portion of the valve and put it under the cabinet to hold it steady, then we fired a few short bursts at them and they came right out. I saved a lot of time and effort as I just pulled out the old ones and put them in again. Make sure to use your normal wrench and not overtighten In the event that this job needs to be repeated in the future, I've put a bit of plumbers grease on the threads to facilitate the process.

Designed to fit Kohler products It isn't hard to remove, but it can be a struggle
5/5

Since I live in a location with extremely hard water, I have to replace these valves every 8 to 12 months. It has been around 15 years. We had a stuck bathroom faucet valve, and the replacement valve fixed it just fine. The tough part is getting the cartridge out of the As a result, my setup consists of a faucet that has a 'widespread' design, with the valve elements (the discontinued Kohler Taboret) mounted separately in A 5/8" nut on top of the valve body won't come loose with a long socket head only the whole valve body in the counter will spin. To resolve the problem I had to remove the valve body completely from the water supply, remove it from the countertop, and mount it in the biggest vice I had in my possession. It was then possible to remove the cartridge with a little care. During the time that you have everything apart, take the time to clean all the nasty lime deposits with vinegar.

The flow of water has been drastically decreased
3/5

Please click here. My old ones were leaking, so I got this as well as the matching hot water cartridge for it. Both models fit fine physically due to Kohler's model numbers. However, I am only getting about 1/5 of the water flow that Kohler says I should be getting, and I previously had (40 ounces per minute compared to Kohler's 192 ounces per minute). Until now, it hasn't been much. I remove the cartridge completely and there is a full flow of water and pressure coming out of the top of the valve, which proves that the water pressure and flow are fine. I wrote back and forth with Kohler support, and they promptly offered replacement cartridges, which I just received and also have the exact The faucet is kind of stuck, and I'm not sure what I can do short of replacing it entirely. An extremely frustrating experience.

The set was perfect for replacing the valve on the cold side of my old faucet that leaked
5/5

This was to replace the valve on the cold side of the Kohler faucet K454--GL452SA-BRO!. I found it to be a perfect match as well as including the black spline to attach the stem extender to the top In my case, the crust was extremely difficult to break down, and it took some PB B'laster penetrant and a long In my weak state, I could not remove it with a ratchet wrench. I needed the help of someone who was stronger. Thanks to the removal of the old valve, this problem has been solved. In the event that you can't remove the valve cartridge, you will need to buy the valve and casing assembly for a different model I hope you will have the same luck as me and can preserve the old parts as well. Several handles could not be removed because the old stem extenders were still attached, and another handle suffered from a crack through it An extender for fitting the stem. In order to have the new valves fit my new stem extenders, I bought brand new ones. Changing the orientation of the valve can be done by removing the clip if you purchased the wrong side's valve. Hopefully, you will be able to fix your leaky faucet soon.

Installing the software is not too challenging
5/5

It is so easy to turn the new valve as opposed to the old one. I had an old drive that jammed as the ceramic core did not stay put. With the new one, the rubber seal is nice and firm. Ensure that the cam on top of the unit matches the one you are removing before you remove it. Depending on your needs, you may be able to turn it around. You can leave the knob in place and it will turn out decide to remove the two knobs at the same time, a photo will help you to replace them They were aligned with their previous roles. You should shut off the water now. Spinning the old one out is a good idea. The new seat must be inserted into the valve, ensuring the old one is not damaged.
