Yes, there will be a boost in water pressure. This sink faucet aerator has three modes, allowing you to select the level of water pressure that you require.
When it's a kitchen sink attachment, it seems redundant to say not to use running water. I didn't see that in the instructions, but I've been using it for both hot and cold water and it's worked fine; I don't expect it to last forever because it has so many plastic parts, but I use it every day with hot water.
It appears that a seal has been broken, according to my understanding. I've had mine for a while and it's only recently started leaking/spraying in one small area of the side.

The kitchen sink faucet aerator is made of ABS, which is a source of concern for me. That's why they say not to use hot water in their instructions, which I figured was the case. Because ABS can be toxic when heated to certain temperatures, they should include a warning. I like the product, but I'm not fond of the material. If the price was higher and the materials were stainless steel or a non-toxic metal, I would buy it.
My bad! The facet sparyer head alone is roughly twice the size of a standard facet (kind with multiple spray options). So, if you have a standard sink, you can forget about attaching the nozzle; it hangs so low that you can't even use it to wash your hands if you have a few dishes in the sink. The three spray options are nice, but the narrowest one has a tendency to fan out, making it difficult to fill a small opening. It has a lot of pressure, which is both a pro and a con because I've gotten a shower a few times when I turned it on a little too much. If you have a larger sink, such as a farm sink, you should use it. This could work for you based on your personal style. I'm going to get something else. I'm going to put it in my much deeper/larger laundry sink, where I think the high pressure will be useful for rinsing out stains. So, I'm not saying it's bad, but make sure you measure before you buy. Pressure should be avoided at all costs. It performs admirably. We'll see how it holds up in the long run. After a month, my previous one cracked. The only other thing is that I purchased the silver one specifically because of its color. However, as you can see in the photo, it has begun to peel. I didn't need the hose in the end.
This two-pack consists of Both worked fine for a while, until one of them developed those tiny holes that began spraying to the side, soaking things outside of the sink. After about 6 months, the switch button began to fail, and it was difficult to click into a specific stream - It was necessary for you to experiment with it. This is the second kind I've tried, and the one in the laundry room has a stronger stream in all three positions, and the button to switch streams works fine. I suppose whether any of them worked perfectly for a long time (at least a year) is a matter of luck. I like that you can switch from one type of stream to another, but if the holes aren't cut correctly, the stream won't stay straight and won't spray where it shouldn't, and the switch button doesn't fail after a short period of time, it's not worth the hassle. Another one I tried had a wider range of motion, so it could reach the entire inside of the sink - This one (or 2) does not reach all corners and nearly to the top edge of the sink. As a result, I'm not sure if this is one I'd recommend.
Finally, a way to keep water from splashing onto me and the floor when I'm washing dishes in the kitchen sink. It's a little awkward because the extension is a little too long for my tall, hook-style faucet, but that's something I can live with. It was stiff at first and had a limited range of motion, but it loosen up after a week. It's a huge relief not to have water splashed all over my torso every time I turn on the tap.
I've read reviews where people have complained about leaking at the faucet threads. Teflon tape around the threads has been suggested by someone. I had the same issue, but I discovered that the washer is too thick, preventing me from screwing the sprayer on all the way to the top of the threads. It was decided to use a thinner washer as a solution. The issue has been resolved. Apart from this easily solved issue, I've had nothing but positive experiences with this sprayer. After numerous attempts with another brand with excellent reviews but numerous returns on my part, I discovered this one.
