Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with the Grohe Chiara faucet?

You must determine the absolute diameter. If it doesn't say universal, it won't work. This one was designed to fit a Kohler water heater.

I'm curious about the aerator's height. ?

The aerator is 1/2 inch tall overall, with a 7/33 inch thread from shoulder to shoulder for screwing it in.

Did anyone else get one that wasn't assembled and had a star-shaped portion of the white part on the outside?

We had finished ours.

Are the threads 15/16-inches in diameter? Is it true that there are 27 threads to the inch?

The dimensions are standard and fit my Moen faucets. In the United States, American Standard, Kohler, and the majority of other brands are available. This standard size (for example, the Moen Male Aerator is 15/16") must be followed. Thread count: 27.

It's a game of chance
3/5

It's difficult to say whether or not these aerators are good or bad. First, they arrive in a stylish box with a lid and foam padding, making me feel as if I'm selecting a chocolate from a Godiva truffle box. Second, the washers are really good, which will help with the utilitarian goal of easy storage so the pieces don't get lost. Because they're not symmetrical, be careful how you put them together. The flat side of the aerator fits perfectly, while the other side has a small lip that tucks into the faucet. Third, the end has small slots that make it simple to put them on and take them off with a wrench. Fourth, because the aerator is quite shiny, it stands out a bit against the brushed nickel hardware (though not too much). Finally, the actual flow is hit or miss, which is unfortunate. To compare, I first replaced a generic aerator that I was satisfied with. The new Canray aerator diverted the stream slightly to the side, creating a small tributary. This was even worse than the old aerator, which had a nice fat straight stream of water. I tried putting it on a few times and always got the same result; however, when I put it on the faucet that needed a new aerator, the flow was very nice and there were no issues. So maybe there's a connection to the faucet or a key to installing the aerator that I'm overlooking. Still, I'm going to give it three stars until I can be sure the problem isn't caused by the new aerators. If I figure out what's going on, I'll change my rating.

Bathroom faucet aerator made by Meon
5/5

Purchased to replace a number of bathroom aerators throughout the house, all of which were Moen faucets. Because my water contains a lot of lime, the orifices eventually clog and must be spun out with pliers. In any case, the lime-encrusted chrome will be harmed. Instead of removing them and soaking them in muriatic acid, simply replace them. These are reasonably priced and perform admirably in the Moen system. They come in a pack of 8 and are well-made gaskets. Apply a small amount of silicone grease to the thread, then spin it into the faucet. The water flow is smooth and consistent, providing ample flow for any bathroom faucet. This book comes highly recommended. They even have flats on which an open ended wrench can be used! In the future, there will be no need to remove the teeth marks.

It's a good deal and it works
5/5

I bought these to replace all of the calcium-crusted bathroom aerators in my house. This is a fantastic solution. Brushed nickel is used on all of my Moet fixtures. These aren't exactly brushed nickel, as some others have pointed out, but the difference is barely noticeable. I tried cleaning what I had with CLR at first, but I couldn't get the old ones to look as new as I wanted them to. I should have just bought these in the first place, now that I think about it. The ones on the news appear to be in much better condition than the ones I was cleaning. (As an aside, after removing the old metal aerators, I recommend using something like CLR to clean out any remaining crud from the fixtures before screwing these on. ) Any leftover deposits are removed. ) Screwing these on is a breeze. They have a notch for using a wrench, so they're less likely to scratch than the perfectly round ones I removed. I wasn't able to comment on the GPM rate because I didn't test it. In any case, at this price, it's a fantastic deal. I would strongly suggest it.

Despite the fact that the product is well-made, I had to return it
3/5

These aerators appeared to be well-made and looked fantastic. The issue was that the supplied rubber gasket was far too thick to allow the threads to engage with our fixture. Even with the original, thinner gasket from our old aerator, the threads were too short to fully engage into the fixture, causing it to leak. Because our fixtures are 25 years old, these might work in newer fixtures that have a shorter thread length. We had no choice but to hand them back.

Faucets to replace your hard water faucets at a low cost! I liked how they fixed my problem for such a low price
5/5

The water in my rental is very hard, and even though it has some sort of filter, it's still hard; it doesn't have copper deposits like it does in other parts of Waterford where I live, but it's still hard. br>So, for about $1. Even if it's only for a couple of years, if you're 75 and your faucet is barely running or running badly, it's a great investment. My family was the first to notice, and I completely forgot to tell them about it. Because, well, I don't live in a house with ten faucets, and why not replace them, even if the water isn't running as well as it could be? Those extras will just collect dust; well worth the investment, even if you're renting, as I am right now.

Aerators that are no longer in use are ideal replacements
5/5

Each one's "insides" were all I used. I unscrewed each aerator from my faucets, removed the old one, replaced it, and screwed it back on. Everything went as planned. br>br>Because each of my faucets was a different color, I wasn't expecting to use the chrome outside part. I couldn't use the washers for some reason. because the washers I had before were a tad smaller The old washers, on the other hand, were perfectly adequate.

We used it on a vintage Delex two-speed camera and it worked perfectly
5/5

Bathroom faucets with multiple handles These aerators performed admirably on a couple of vintage (40-year-old!) wines. ) Delex bathroom faucets with two handles I took a chance ordering these faucets because there appear to be multiple thread pitches / sizes (as well as multiple aerator diameters) used over the years on such faucets. When looking for replacement aerators, it's not easy for the average weekend mechanic to figure out what thread sizes to look for (which is why most professionals keep a variety of aerators in their field kit). I was able to reduce my risk by using these aerators because of their reasonable price and good return policy. Because of the very tight clearances inside the faucet head and the slight protrusion of the plastic aerator core into the faucet interior, it was a little difficult getting a new unit to thread into one specific faucet during installation of the aerators in my home. To fix the problem, I simply tried another new aerator from the same package, which threaded perfectly onto the faucet; note that these are not flow restricting aerators, as they were not required for our application. The fact that these aerators have flat sides makes tightening (and removing) them with a wrench easier and less likely to scratch or damage them is also beneficial and appreciated.
