Use motor with a buffing wheel and compound for best results - good pre polish for silver Metals that are soft, such as gold, are the most popular. On most mild and hard metals, use "Fabulustrr" as a final polish
My wheel worked great after I purchased an adapter which allowed me to extend it even further. It also gives me more space to work efficiently because I was able to work on bracelets and neckpieces better.
My set screw is attached to a threaded shaft, but the threads only go halfway up, so the screw hits the base of the shaft Here is the threaded part. There are two holes for the set screw, and I use the hole in the center. Not sure if tightening those screws into them will mess up the threads since I have never used that hole.

It is a pleasure to be here! There is nothing wrong with this product. It has made my life a lot easier to have a cheap grinder and buffing machine at hand. It takes me only a few seconds to change the buffing and polishing disks on the machine. It saved me from having to purchase another buffing and polishing machine due to the fact that I am a hobbyist. It did not require me to purchase extra space or extra space is money that I do not have. Thanks so much.
The product is cheaper than its competitors. This is heavy duty work. There is a marking of 16mm on the grinder, but it fits the 5/8" arbor. The one I have fits on an old Harbor Freight/Central Machinery grinder without wobbling. I had to downgrade it after using for a few days because it runs at 3400 RPM. More than half an inch is occupied by the bore. To keep it in place on the arbor, it has set screws. The result is that there is no wobble, but the vibration occurs. To make it work the way I want, I had to spend a lot of time shimming it. I am back with a second The rating has been raised to 3 stars. The right side of the tool can be put on any Wen variable 8" grinder and it works just fine without any shims. There is less wobble in the Wen because its arbor is slightly larger than that of the HF though they are both 5/8th. A bit of vibration rumble is present during startup and during slowdowns, but otherwise, it is a decent player at speed.
My flight had to be rescheduled. While I appreciate the ability to spin the buff, they are rough on the roller bearings of my grinders. Approximately 5/1000 of an inch separates the sleeves from the body. The diameter is 1/2 inch. However, deeper the hole is, the wider it is. Spinning the spindle off center causes it to spin off-center. Buffing works fine, but the grinder vibrates, which causes the piece of equipment to bounce when buffed. A brief update After I returned it for being so vibrationally loud, it was too loud for me.
During my 40 years of buffing jewelry, I have developed special skills. In order to polish neck pieces I needed to get my 8" muslim buff wheel farther from my motor. This product works wonderfully, and it's half the price of what I pay from my jewelry supplier.
I've used it with my 8" Dewalt Bench Grinder and it functions perfectly. There was a set screw missing on the left side of the spindle adapter, but as of now, I only buff and polish the right side of the grinder, so I only need one spindle adapter. A centrifugal force is used to maintain wheel balance.
The buffing wheels I have now run on spin ons, as opposed to The ability to swap buffs is more flexible. Compounds for specific wheels can be used to quickly increase traction.
Absolutely satisfied.
They appeared to be a nice product, however, as the buffer I bought had a shaft that was too small.
