Selected User Reviews For Oregon 35596 Bench Grinding Wheel Contour Template
A skill that used to be a dying art seems to have become nearly extinct now that everyone has a cheap grinder, whether they know what they are doing with the wheels or the chain cutters. If you want to sharpen any rounded ground chain, the edges of the grinding wheels must be contoured. However, it is plastic, so that's the only negative.
As soon as you get the hang of it you can keep sharp blades all the time and save a bunch of money as all the shops here charge about $9 per blade. A sharpening fee of $50 per blade is required. When you are learning what you are doing, the contour template is helpful. A second purchase would be made for both the grinder and template.
This would be perfect for gaging my grinding wheel when I touch it up.
It is of no use to have this part or tool fabricated with The sticker has taken off the paint on the tool, and I am unable to make out what some of the features are. In order to reveal the painted instructions, the sticker had to be removed. There was someone who wasn't.
I ordered OEM parts and they arrived right on time.
I love it.
