Actually, I kind of wish they would have just removed all the accessories, the light, and the wheels and just sold it as a base grinder at a cheaper price, and then it would have been a great buy.
As for the base unit, I will keep it and use it. It is convenient to have Work great for turning tools, chisels, scrapers, knives, razor blades, etc.
Aren't the accessories great too? I don't know. If you want to use a flex shaft rotary tool like a Foredom, a micromotor, or a Dremel, you'd be better off with a dedicated, better quality tool like that. It is of no use to me to have a drill chuck on this machine. As far as wheels go, they are essentially throw-aways Leave right away. On a machine such as this, I personally don't require more than a few felt and muslin wheels. I would say the unit is pretty solid, as it is the base unit. I was pleasantly surprised that the speed control worked well and there was no vibration. There is a sense of balance between everything. In terms of design, the open vents on the motor are the only thing I question. I would not recommend using them on a machine like this because they beget a lot of dust. Although I have my doubts about its durability, we will see how it holds up. Its life can be extended if used strictly for polishing and buffing. I won't use my for grinding any more.

For metal parts, I have been using this to polish them. They need to be polished like a mirror. While this machine is slow and requires wheel changes, the finished product is well worth the effort.
