Questions & Answers
To sharpen this grinder, you will need threaded shafts and sharpening stones.
However, even if you had to do that many passes, you are still not removing a lot of metal, which prevents burning of the tooth.
Since I only use mine occasionally, I don't have a whole lot of experience with it. As per the instructions, the sharp point of the tooth should be rotated towards the top of the grinding wheel bit. It is possible to sharpen both teeth while mounted on the same side of the bar by adjusting the angle from say 35deg one way to 35deg the other way (the angle pivots that far). In the same way, you can adjust the angle on the other side of the bar. Seeing as there is only one way to use the tooth stop, I don't remember being able to flip the jig around to the other side. With the switch +/- you can change the direction of the motor A battery lead is a lead.
As pictured, it comes in its original packaging. That is something I would recommend. A friend of mine has one and it works well. YouTube offers several videos that may be of use to you.

Crosscutting (35 degrees) and ripping (10 degrees) chains are two things I have done with it. Getting the first link properly set up for the tool will require some fiddling, but it will allow you to grind cutters consistently. There is one wish I would like What is the purpose of not having regular plugs? The electrical plug in my shop is 12v, but I would prefer just to have a regular electric battery to power In my opinion, its ability to be charged by a truck battery makes it ideal for use in the field. If it was capable of doing both, that would be great.
Since I was a boy my dad would run chainsaws and hand sharpen them. I'm decent with a hand file but this leaves a level of perfection that I can't match. The benefit of this sharpener is that you don't need to remove the chain as you do with benchtop sharpeners, and even though the DC power may be an inconvenience to some, it allows it to be used in the field. I would buy another one, although I think it is a little expensive for what it actually is.
With my 36-inch bar, it takes a very long time to use a file. It takes me less than a minute to complete this. I need only a 12 volt battery.
It is still possible to use it, even though one of the stones broke. However, I had to set the angle at 30 degrees to get the best cut, but I have a difficult time reading the angle dial, and the tool is difficult to use. That being said, it has done the job well and saved me money on purchasing It doesn't take very long for chains to be sharpened after it has been dialed in (10 minutes).
There was use of the product. *I did not receive the tips for sharpening the edges of my razor.
The grinder unit does not have the tools to lock down the points, which I did not receive. To find out what you can do for me, I need to uncover what service you can provide. I am going back to another vendor or I will return my purchase and purchase from them instead.
In short, the Granberg Precision Grinder does what it is described to do. The chain is sharpened accurately with a minimal amount of material being used. Grinder can be set up and used without much difficulty. If that were the case, that would be good. It is very difficult to find the cool grind in Australia, so a stick of it has been included.
