I'd previously purchased Freud and other well-known brands until a member of the woodworking community recommended this brand; while some bits are pricey, I couldn't believe how smooth this bit cut compared to others I'd tried over the years. I thought the bit wasn't making contact at first, but then I noticed how smooth it was cutting. With my Bosch router, there are no burn marks and I can glide around the edge in a single pass. Pine and a variety of hardwood species have been tried, and they all appear to work well. Following this encounter, I began to buy Whiteside products. If you want a high-quality finish, this is the way to go.
This may seem like a good deal, but if the bearing fails almost immediately and damages a $1000 table top, I'm not going to use it again. You won't keep this customer if you make a high-quality bit and then use low-quality bearings on it.
In recent months, I've primarily purchased whiteside router bits. They're high-quality bits, and I appreciate that they're made in the United States. You can put your faith in the product's quality. With a smooth operating bearing, this round over bit is razor sharp.
The router bits made by White Side are among the best available. This isn't the first time this has happened. I work as a professional woodworker in a one-man shop. So it's mostly hardwood work in the man shop. I've used it on white oak and a lot of ash wood, and it works great. br>It's highly recommended!.
If you only need a router bit for a few pieces, you can save money by purchasing a set. However, if you need bits to last for multiple jobs, you'll have to pay the extra money. These parts will serve you well for a long time.
Whiteside bits are known for their high quality, and this one is no different. I've only done a few hundred feet of routing with it so far, but it's still cutting and turning smoothly.
It should be neither too big nor too small. It dulls a sharp edge while maintaining a clean profile.
