As part of my dining room table project, I will use 5 types of wood stitched together in a quilted The maple, poplar, oak, pine, and cedar I had were of different thicknesses. While the bit was set at a bit over 1/16 cut, some of the pieces I cut were a bit higher than expected and it did not have a problem bringing them down.

I used a spindle speed of 12,000 RPM, a feed rate of 80 inches per minute, and. With a thickness of 10 mm and a depth of The step-over on this 1" router bit is 4" to ensure that the surface is smooth and free of ripples that might result from an out-of-round router bit This is the spindle of the tram. After about 30 minutes, I had leveled the spoil board. The CNC router was completely enclosed so none of this was a problem, but if you don't use it with a full enclosure, fine dust will fly throughout your shop, and you wouldn't want to breathe it.
My Shapeoko 3 wasteboard as well as a dozen cutting boards (maple, purpleheart, bubinga) were flattened with this. It is very likely that this bit will produce a lot of dust! Be sure to use a dust collector.
There are a lot of things to like about this show. The product is well-made and worth the price. The only caveat is that if you plan to use it on a large piece (I have a spoil board that measures 3' x 4'), you might want to choose a larger size. You will be able to finish the job much faster with a 1-inch surfacer bit. It is wise to use this bit with caution when working with Big Box MDF. MDF has twice come to me with staples buried in the middle. It appears that this bit has been damaged in the latest encounter.
A round slab of tree was leveled with this. Very easy to cut, seemed to work The finish is very smooth. It is a great deal at this price, and I would buy it again if necessary.
I just bought a CNC router and needed a surfacing bit for my wasteboard. Although there are other, more expensive bits out there, I'd rather try this one since I didn't know what I like yet. It worked well for my purposes and left a nice even surface with no ridges or bumps. It is important to wear a mask when working with MDF due to its tendency to produce a lot of dust while surfacing it. Make sure you have a dust collection system or enclosure and a decent enclosure when surfacing I thought it was a very good value for the price and quality given the price.
This was used to plane some 2x6s that had been glued together and were I am ordering this again, because it made clean cuts.
I didn't remove the screws or properly countersink them on my workbench prior to using it, resulting in several being hit when I attempted to use it. This strategy continued to produce exceptional results, much to my amazement. There were other users who reported major problems 1/4" shanks bent and this led to further problems My only guess is that too much material was being removed, which could have caused the screw to break. The second order has been placed and I will reorder it It is not enough to recommend it. It would be nice to have a larger size when using 1/4-inch Located in the.
A live edge round needed to be flattened and leveled, so I bought this bit. A router was run back and forth across the rounds on a special table I designed with adjustable rails and a trough. As far as I could tell, my set-up worked perfectly. I probably should have bought a wider bit to minimize the number of passes so I wouldn't have had to buy one.
