As it looked decent, I started plugging it in. After checking that I had disabled all of the locks, I started examining the fuses. I discovered that the switch was broken. Both positions of the on/off switch were in fact "on. ". It was locked up solid like my gut after cheese quesadilla night at our house. (Obviously, they labeled it incorrectly. ) We plugged it in, and within seconds it started humming like a Catholic choir boy, but there was no motion. (At that point, we realized the switch was labeled "off" and should have had two "on" portions. ) As soon the unit started to beach smoke, it reminded me of my college roommate's 4/20 experience. I thought it looked really nice so I would recommend it to anyone wanting a good paperweight. A price that seemed too good to be true had me taking a chance, but I bought the item This time I won't do that mistake. I hope you all have better luck than I did.
As my first router, the Ryobi was a good purchase. It came with three bits as well as a bag that held all the tools. The cost of other brands is much higher and they don't include any I found this purchase to be a good match for my needs and skill level.
A good router like this one exists. The way the bolts are installed for mounting to a table also does not appeal to me. According to other reviewers, I was fairly certain it would not work on my old Craftsman table and it does not. This is something that should be standard across all.
I'm not really a big fan of Ryobi, but this router belongs to the top. In order to get an even better router for the price I paid, you would have to pay a lot more. However, it works better than my old Dewalts I rate this as a great big thumbs up to Ryobi.
As far as I'm concerned, it works great on my table. It's only downhill from here In addition, when it's upside down on the table, the adjustment screw can be a bit tight and difficult to turn because of how heavy it is, meaning you need to remove it to release it.
It has been a pleasure working with the vendor. Thanks to the Vendor's tenacity, I was able to receive this item before I would have needed it.
There were no problems at all as I have come to expect. As I have come to expect from Ryobi, this worked perfectly. There were no problems. This is a great product for a variety of tasks. I bought it for my husband who loves it.
